solcraft said:hes not that big at all. he's an olympic judo champion, not a pl'r or anything close. he trains to to throw guys, toss 'em, and slam them to the mat. so his training is is for intensity and endurance as opposed to putting up the numbers. still an impressive run considering that this was just the warmups for his leg day.

I understand "functional or sport specific" training HOWEVER that does not give someone the right to do half ass squats and say im not a powerlifter
just like PB said dropping the weight and squatting below parallel would yield more benefit to ANYONE..powerlifter/athlete/bodybuilder/etc
