Squats only for legs

EXTREME FASCIST
I was wondering what your thoughts were of doing only squats for legs? ive been training for 5 years but squatting for 3 and need to get my weight up (5'6" at like 155-160 because i never ate enough calories trying to get leaner but that doesnt work when you dont have enough muscle). legs are a huge bodypart (the quads) but squats are a serious compound movement. do i still need to do leg presses because i like doing only squats. btw i deadlift 4 days after i squat (mon wed fri routine similar to pullinbig's) and they hit my back/hams really well. but i think i get better muscle growth from doing deads at 6 reps then at 4-5. still works at 4-5 reps though, i do 2 working sets, warm ups dont count, i prolly do like 4-5 warm up sets. its not like im lacking in legs but i want them bigger and recently re-vamped my diet with more calories after eating too little prior to it so i need to see how this works. just want to know if i was ok with doing just squats (intense workouts) for quads. i heard it also builds the hams (thats proof since i feel somewhat worked out on my hams after im done).

Legs are your biggest bodypart. I would think if you have been training 5 yrs. you would be alright and probably need, to do squats or box squats then legpress. Im sure you will still get something out of squats only but if I were you I would do another exercise maybe extensions?

i do extension every once in a while after squats. the thing is, it isnt like i gained muscle every year because of my diet. now that i am eating more, i want to be sure i will still grow from doing only squats. but yeah i cant just do one exercise anymore for any part to grow. my chest seems to grow well when i do incline and flat dumbells and weighted dips. though im not sure how much the dips help but i am certain all i would ever need for my chest is the exercises i mentioned. the dips have helped me completely develop my chest but i dont think it would look this great if i only did dips u know? i think i might need to add leg press but i guess ill keep plugging away and focus on progressive loading on the bar with my increase in calories.

just squats is fine, as long as they are done with maximal exertion and nice and deep. for shear size 1 set of 20 works well in some. if you looking for a mix of size and strength 2x4-8reps works. alternating boxes and pauses is a good idea as well from time to time.

leg extensions can lead to knee injuries in some lifters (me) if done with heavy weight. thay are fine at high reps and light weight.

good call pullinbig. i never change up my squats, perhaps i should start doing some 20 rep squats or pauses every now and again. i do leg extensions once in a while. i think im gonna try some 20 rep squats monday. do you use a weight you can get only 10 reps with and aim for 20 or how exactly does that work? when i squat, i go nice and deep and at the end, i will pause at the top (not bottom like pause squats) and take some deep breaths and squat and repeat, and i feel like i can keep going. sort of like 20 rep squats only i do about 5-6 with heavy weights and breath and end up getting 8-9 reps although i could try going more but i dont. and i feel guilty i dont give it all i got but from now on im going to do it. so im certain the 20 rep squats will make me grow but its not to be done everytime.

squats are king. i devote a whole day just for them. now since i am eating more and really want my legs to grow, im going to be sure i work even harder at them, with higher reps and force out even more breathing reps. i do them in the power rack so im not worried if i cant get the last rep(s) in. im looking forward to my 20 rep breathing squats tomorrow.
