Starting Over with protocol

6-Pack in Training
Well shit. I guess I'm one of the few unfortunate guys that just can't get dialed in. I started out with test shots from my doc. I felt great for about 6 months, but decided to go with a more complete protocol. I got a new doc who included arimidex and HCG with my test.

After 12 weeks on this protocol I feel like shit and now I have a pecker that won't stay hard during sex. I never had any kind of ED before starting testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) 9 months ago. My 2nd doc has changed my protocol 3 or 4 times, adjusting my arimidex up, down, then up again as well as increasing my HCG.

I'm pretty much completely discouraged and have decided to start over with just test shots since that's when I felt the best. I'm ready for my yearly physical which includes a complete blood panel. I want to make sure there is no leftover affects showing up in my blood work, so how long should I wait after stopping the arimidex and HCG before I have blood drawn?

Did you ever have blood work when you were taking Adex and HCG along with the Test before making adjustments?

I had total estrogen checked after 6 weeks on protocol. My total estrogen was over 200, which is obviously way too high. My understanding is that an estrogen level that high would make me feel like shit. So the doc raised my arimidex and then my estrogen crashed. So we split the difference on the dosing, which still didn't help how I felt. Then I had my HCG increased, which made my nuts come back, but I still feel like shit. And again, I still have ED issues which I never had before starting HRT, nor did I have that issue while on test alone.

My test only protocol:

300mg E7D

HRT Protocol:

Test 200mg E5D
Arimidex 1mg E5D, then ED for a week, then EOD for a week, then E3D
HCG 250iu E5D, then 1000iu E5D twice, then 500iu E5D

It sounds like you are flying blind. Make small adjustments as recommended by your doctor and get bloodwork several weeks after each adjustment. Don't change more than one thing at a time or you won't know how your body is reacting to each adjustment. It may take a couple of months to get fully dialed in but it should be a one time process.

If your doc can't get you dialed in properly, it is time to find a new doc. (hint: Maximus)

+1 for what Nordic said.

It takes a little time to adjust. Your just chasing your tail. FYI e2 is what you should be looking at to get dialed in. Taking just T is not going to help you getting dialed in any faster. It will just slow down the process.

I'm not flying blind at all. Every change to my protocol was made by my Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) specialist who just so happens to be Maximus. My intent is to go back to test shots only, establish baselines for test & estrogen, then add arimidex as needed. I may or may not use HCG again since I don't care about nut size or fertility. If I do add Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), it will only be after dialing in my test and Aromatase inhibitor (AI) first.

For the last 3 months I've felt like I've been throwing darts over my shoulder hoping to hit the fucking target. I'm fed up with feeling like shit and trying to diddle my wife with a fucking soggy noodle. I can't muster up enough energy to hit the gym, my attitude sucks, and I'm sick and fucking tired of sitting on my ass all day. If I appear to be particularly incensed at this moment, then you're reading me correctly.

I'll rephrase my simple question from my original post. How long should I wait after my last arimidex pill and HCG shot before I can take a blood test, with confidence that there is no residual affects? If you know the answer, please enlighten me. Or, if you prefer, you can tell me to go pound sand.

I'll start by saying I don't know the answer to your question so if you want to ignore the rest then that's fine.

Like you, I've struggled to control my Estrogen for months. I've experienced all the side effects of high Estrogen that you're describing and I know it sucks. While better than low T, it isn't much better.

My Estrogen was way high for a long time (total Estrogen at 275 at it's highest) then I finally crashed it after taking 1md Adex ED for months. Honestly, I feel better with crashed Estrogen than high Estrogen. I'm still trying to get it dialed in but I'm doing so with the approach that I'd rather it be on the low side than the high side. My suggestion is to stick with trying to get dialed in and have your Estrogen tested more often until you do but you'll do what you want and that's cool. Maybe drop the HCG for a while but I wouldn't drop the Adex since it sounds like your Estrogen is on the high side still right now. Dropping the Adex isn't going to lower your Estrogen.

I think adding Calcium D-Glucrarate 500mg/2x day along with Adex helped me lower my Estrogen and it's cheaper than Adex so you may want to give it a shot.

If you have any questions about my experience shoot me a PM (Just saw you don't have enough posts right now). I'm still working to get completely dialed in but I feel like I'm really close!

You say you felt great for about 6 months on test only why did you switch doctors? How long have you been with Maximus?

I got greedy and wanted to feel even better. But mostly it was because my 1st doc lowered my test dosage when my T level went over 800. After that happened my total test went down to 225 and I haven't felt good since. I've been with Maximus for 3 months.

The exact answer is it depends on how much you took on your last shot. It's pretty insignificant after 1 week

at 500iu you'll be under 1iu after 12.5 days for HCG.
at 1mg adex you'll be under 1% after 13 days.

Hope this helps
