Steralising a beaker?

Im making some more brew shortly. I only have one mixing beaker though which i have used before. If i give this a good wipe out then add some boiling water for a while will this be sufficient to clean it enough for me to do some more brew in?

Ive heard all sorts of things about adding some special liquid and letting it dissolve in the oven etc etc but after reading the stickies above it seem most people are over cautious because as someone on here said nothing is sterile until its been filtered into a sterile vial.

no gear is sterile untill you filter it but basic safety precautions cant hurt? give it a wipe out with some spirit "vodka will do" then bake it in the oven for a hour at about 275

would do fine, as they say nothing is sterile untill you filter into a sterile vial. i use the cheap ass tesco own brand vodka, does the job fine

if your going to cook the powders in it i wouldn't worry too much about it as long as its clean. your going to filter it after.
