Steroids And Your Heasrt

Ok guys this should be interesting to all that have heard that gear was bad on the heart. I first have to give you a little back round.

In 1997 my dad at the age of 64 had his first heart attack’s and past away from it. He was 64 yrs old. Both his mother and father died of heart attack’s in there 60’s. He was the youngest of 3 boys. His oldest brother died of a heart attack at the age of 49. His middle brother dies of a heart attack at the age of 34. The brother that died at 34, his son died 2 years ago at 44. So heart attacks run in my family.

Now most of you know that I did gear in the 70’s and 80’s. In 7 years of doing gear I only took off for 7 months. After about a year I ran a minimum of 2 grams a week along with D-bol and anadrol. In the 90’s I again cycled for 4 years but at low doses. In 2003 I started lifting again and started cycling

Ok lets get to it. I have been seeing a cardiologist for the past two years because of family history and the gear that I have used. Last week I had an appointment and my cardiologist suggested that I have a angora where they enter a artery in the goring and go up into the heart and take pics. You know I was expecting the worst and so was my cardiologist because of family history and all the gear I have been using.

So I was all of your guys guinea pig . Well today I had it done. Here is the results. All artery’s were clear and my heart was normal and as the doctor said was as strong and good looking as a 20 year old. He was shocked by the result of the test and like he said, I heard so many bad things about anabolics and what they do to the heart.

So what do I think about gear being bad on the heart, it’s not

That's great to hear, but I don't know if I would attribute it to the gear, but who knows. I do know that since I have been training and doing gear I eat a lot healthier, so I'm sure that helps my arteries. Perhaps it is your whole life style that has dealt you the best card out of your family's deck.

That's a nice, warm and fuzzy little story, but it means nothing. You don't really expect anyone to put any faith in one uncontrolled case study, like I mean it's wonderfull you got a clen bill of health, but it's not proof of anything.

That's like me saying that since I had heart problems from steroids, it's bad for everyone and it will happen to them......nonsense !!

All SC is trying to say is that in your case the steorids didn't have any adverse effects on your heart, but they could very well have negative effects in other people

dude, you're not going to get banned. not from this site, but watch your existential quantifiers there. I'm not surprised one bit your as healthy as you are, but I'm guessing you eat well and exercise, which your relatives probably didn't. I have my own odd theories, but I never say they will work for everyone, and I always say they are my own wacky ideas.

Great for you but SC was just saying that your results could be an abberation, can't be quantified and there is no real way of knowing why your heart is what it is. Yes it does appear that the gear did not damage your heart according to one doctor's point of view but there are so many other variables that we just do not know aside from your use of gear. I think because you were expecting the worst news you are elated to find out you are okay. You cannot however claim that your heart is good because of steroid use just like someone cannot claim their heart is BAD from steroid use. No controlled tests have ever been done on this to my knowledge.

Keep up the great health!
