Supps for water retention?

I naturally hold a lot of water. what can I do besides drink tons of water and low sodium diet? thnks

Yes, both the ladies are correct Prana. Both Dandelion Root and B-6 are good natural diuretics. You can also find blends of Dandelion Root and Uva Ursi which is another herbal diuretic.

Dandelion Root works well I have given it to my GF on numerous occasions. Kelp is also pretty good and you migth want to consider a potassium supp. too. Hope this helps.

Ok this probably goin to be embarrassing, but by asparagus, you mean just eating the vegetable, or does it come like in pill form?:confused: I've just never heard that the veg. works like a diuretic.
 
For anyone how has taken dandelion root, did you notice a fluctuation in your weight, or in the appearance of retention itself???

I noticed more vascularity and a 2pound or so weight loss this past spring

I lost several pounds and got a lot more definition, but that was using 24g a day for three days.

I wouldn't recommend following a low sodium diet unless you have a medical problem that would require that. Atheletes need their sodium.

you used 24g of dandelion root? im not sure which product your taliking about.

Not really. I mean, there are other natural things that will help you get rid of water, but I've never really used them for that specific purpose. Caffeine, alcohol (which I wouldn't recommend), asparagus (just eating it works), and I'm sure there are more natural things like this...I could try to find more if you're interested.

Chic, be carefull with diuretics. Used to excess they can really mess you up. They're fine for some tweaking and helping with the bloat of pms for a short duration. These things are not meant for extended use.

Be carefull.

I would think diuretic foods would be very safe, since they're very mild. Just keep your eyes open for any signs of dehydration just in case! Always keep well hydrated.

If I find anything else, I'll let you know.

yeah, i was thinking once a month for 3 days. as maintainance. is that too much?

what do they do in excess? stripe one of all their electrolytes, sodium, etc?
