I recently started using myfitpal for diet tracking now I'm thinking about about what app is good for tracking my weight training?
I have always used a notebook. Its durable and easy, don't forget a pen tho!
So what apps can y'all recommend and do you know of any that somehow tie into myfitpal?
One feature of an app I would like is that if you click on a specific exercise it will bring up all your past entries from begin to end...

I like JEFIT. You can load your training program and it tracks everything you do. You can pull up logs on the fly to see what you have done previously. It tracks calculated One Rep Maxes too which is something I like. You can set timers to track rest periods between sets. It is free. There is an upgrade version but I don't see much of a reason to pay the extra for it. The Free version seems to have everything I need.

I was going to say Pen/Paper > all.. but that app sounds pretty awesome.

Does it log the rest you took or just preset it and go when it says to? Can it be variable also, like preset 1.15 min for Squats, but 45 sec rest for leg curls?

Can you enter in data like, extrinsic movement time or intrinsic movement time?

That would be extremely powerful for me and I would highly consider using it if so.

Yes and yes to your first two questions.

I am familiar with extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, but not movement. What is that? I couldn't even find it on Google.

never tried jefit but recently downloaded maxlift. Gives a nice graph view of your lifts from week to week and times your rest intervals for you

Personally I love my fitbit and the app that goes with it. It tracks everything from my calories eaten, calories burned to how many steps I've walked that day. It's a great motivator too because once you hit your goal for the day you feel great that you accomplished it and if you're close to hitting your goal it motivates you to keep moving to burn those calories.
