Switched from androgel to cypionate...feel terrible!

Thank you, but that doesn't appear to be very conclusive. Are DHEA and Preg part of a standard blood test? I don't have my recent results with me but I'll check them when I get home.

Not usually part of standard lab panels. You have to add them in or pick a more expensive one with them.

No, it is not super conclusive. I started taking them. I figured in a male there are no I'll effects from taking it since I already manage my E2. They are cheap and there is some evidence of their being beneficial. Look on her Mayo Clinic's website and you will find good info.

If you think I should start another thread let me know...kinda on the same subject. Just got home and took a look at my last labs curious if DHEA was mentioned...it wasn't. But, I did notice some of the factors were in the low category. It indicated my FSH was 0.35, LH .10, and Neut% 29.40. A couple others were in the high category but the ones I mentioned were boxed in red, like these were well out of the range. The urologist made no mention of these at all, we just talked about Testosterone. Are these elements I should be concerned about? Can I do anything about them. I really appreciate you folks helping me out.

P.S. I also just noticed they DID NOT check for estradiol.

You are taking exogenous test. Therefore your pituitary doesn't think you need to make more of your own test -- you already have enough. Thus no LH and FSH. That is perfectly normal for those to be shut down while on TRT.

Nuet%. Doesn't matter. You probably had a allergy to something or who knows. Unless it is way outside normal and always liked that and you have other things out of whack on your CBC.

You're so smart. As far the CBCs go my MCH was 32.60 with high normal of 31.20. And glucose serum was 122...previous two tests this was in the 90s. I'll stop looking at my labs now. By the way, feeling a little better after two days back on the androgel.

Couldn't tell you what mch even is. I'm sure it is fine. Just Google it.

Were you fasting when they checked your glucose. if you are normally 90 I am guessing no.

You can look all these labs up to see what they mean on the net.

I was trying to do my own research and leave you folks alone, so I was looking up info on DHEA and Pregnenolone and I came across the following article:

bodybuilding.com/fun/southfacts_preg.htm

As a spoiler, at the very bottom it says "Do not use pregnenolone if you are supplementing DHEA." So what's the deal? Is he speaking of prescription strength pregnenolone or any type of pregnenolone? Why and why the disconnect between bodybuilding and testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)? I went out and bought some DHEA but nobody around here carries preg. I'll hold off ordering for the moment.

The gel is superior to all forms of T replacrment regardless of what you hear on bb forums... I'm from the middle east, T is otc and I've tried them all.
Also the gel is the only form of therapy that has an immediate daily "stimulating" effect when you apply it.

Major bummer today. Went back for my second injection, got checked out on self-injecting and it was even easier than I expected. But...it was only a 100mg injection. Seems the first shot was 200mg "just to get me jump started" and what a joke that was. As per docs orders I stopped using the gel and within a couple days was feeling absolutely horrible. Just to be able to function I Started using the gel again while the cypionate ramped up....which I never felt it do. The doc was not there today (he has two offices) so I couldn't speak with him. I did leave a note for him to call me at his convenience so we could talk about all this but I have no confidence that he will. I have to go back and pick up the prescription so maybe then I can corner him.

I'm just majorly bummed. Not only am I not feeling very good, I'm not confident I will any time soon. And, I know at some point I have to stop using the gel. I'm scheduled for blood work on Sep 10th. How long before that should I stop using the gel so it won't show up and skew things even more? Is doing the 100mg every two weeks as pointless as I think it is?

UPDATE! Injected with 200mg of test, two weeks later got 100mg and I got checked out to do my own injections...that's the urologists' protocol. But, he forgot to write my prescription before he went in with another patient. No problem I'll come back tomorrow and get it. He never did it...now he'll be working at his other office till next week. In the mean time I've felt terrible. I never felt anything even remotely positive from the shots. Libido and ED issues abound. I tried to call the doc about how I was feeling and to remind him about the prescription...left "four" messages...he, nor his nurse, ever called. And each time explaining my situation to his staff was like trying to explain trigonometry in Hebrew to a chicken. Finally it got to the point I either needed the prescription or to go back in for another shot. Get this...they tried to "schedule" me an appointment for a shot that would have taken me 4 weeks past my last 100mg shot, and I had to explain to them why that was not a good idea. I guess they finally got tired of dealing with me and had the doc fax over the prescription, then I had to remind them to add the syringes to the prescription (insurance) and I finally had my prescription after a week and a half of hounding them. Went straight home and made an appointment with my primary care physician. I have waaayyyy more confidence with him and his staff than I'll ever have with this urologist and his circus. Hopefully I'll be able to talk him into 200mg (100mg EW). I'm really tired of feeling bad and want desperately to get back in the game.

The effects of The shots don't kick in immediately. It can often take 4-8 weeks before you feel their effects. Sometimes as soon as about 3 weeks. So give it time.

Sorry to hear about your doc issues. Hopefully your GP will be more competent.
