T-Bar Rows

Today was my back day, and I did some T-bar rows (with a barbell planted in a corner) for the first time today. I really liked this exercise, although I couldn't get a full contraction at the top because the plates would hit my chest. Is there something simple I'm missing to getting around this? I guess I could use a bunch of smaller plates instead of 45's.
