Telling friends and family

What do y'all think about telling friends and family, or even making it a public fact that you believe in the use of steroids and maybe even go so far as to saying you've used them before? Just curious to see what some of y'all think about that or what your experiences have been if you did that. Trying to determine what I myself should do so all help will be beneficial! Thanks in advance, Dill.

I have never used AAS but from my perspective steriod use has such a negative view that I would think it best to keep your use to yourself. I always try and live by the philosophy that the less people know about you the better off you are. You never know who might use this information to cause drama in your life.

I agree with Spunkey, and more so because I used to be one of the people who thought anyone on steroids was 'cheating'.
The truth was that the retards I see where I am now don't know how to use them right and give it a bad name or generally abuse other substances.

People have a tendency to see/hear only what they want to as opposed to what the 'truth' is.

That said I have always thought that people using because they make a professional career off their body/work were free to do as they chose and shouldn't really be judged.

I agree with this. I told my wife because I would have a hard time doing injections if I hadnt. I told one other person and I wish I hadnt. Keep it to yourself as much as possible. Diet and creatine is your excuse for increased muscle gain

You have to understand most people don't know anything more than the word "steroid" itself and you get big. You can tell someone you eat 10 meals a day never miss a workout and don't drink or go out cause you sleep instead and they will still call you a cheater and steroid user. The media destroyed any chance of it sounding like a posititve thing yet they go home a snort coke but you will still look worse. If they don't know the truth about it don't say a word and do what you do.

Yea keep it to yourself and maybe your closest lifting buddy/brother or whatever so you have someone to talk to about it if shit happens. I guess you have forums, but it's always nice to have another user you know that can help you with issues you're dealing with. People who don't lift think it's fucked up even though they take X and drink every weekend... Mentality of some people is idiotic.

I only told my girlfriend and a few close friends. Anyone else asks I act like I don't know anything about steroids.

All you have to ask yourself is what would there be to gain by telling them?
Now is not the time to take a stand.
You will gain NOTHING by running your mouth.
It 10000% WILL be one of the worst mistakes you made in your life when you look back on it.

Most people, BB'rs or not, know nothing about steroids other than what has been spoon fed to them, and you have little chance of reversing years of brainwashing with a few sentences.

Keep it to yourself - I'm not sure why you'd want to tell your family, anyway, as you'll likely hurt them rather than persuade them. I've also noticed that, BB'rs especially, as user Hog pointed out, are under the impression that steroids literally do the work for you, so be prepared for that stigma...

If people cant figure it out by looking at me they're retarded
So true lol. Theres a lot of juicers out there that barely look like they even lift..srs

Therea a guy in my gym that's always running somethin or anothe and he's like 5"10 200 20% bf. Wtf lol.. I don't get it

info is power

why give anyone power over you ?

one day it can and will be used against you my friend because most people suck.

If my family ask, yes I will tell them. As Die$el said, if they can't tell, then they are retarded, and my family is not retarded. However, I don't think my grandparents or extended family need to know about these kind of things. Luckily my close family knows how to shut their mouths. I told my best friend because it was bluntly obvious and he asked, but besides that I don't tell anyone else because I'm pretty anti-social and don't talk to anyone else.

You have nothing to gain and everything to lose. Even if you make an excellent and principled argument backed by excellent science and fundamental empirical evidence, you will lose to the media onslaught that is readily available for public consumption. Don't do it.

ill tell basically anyone who asks... never a kid or a complete stranger. but my gym buddies close friends and family all know. i dont have a problem with people knowing... if they dont like it then they can go fuck themselves, it really makes no difference to me. i use gear and if i didnt id still look better than 90% of the guys who hate on it haha
