Stats/background:
Age: 27 years old
Training experience: 7 years (1 year hiatus due to car accident injury)
Cycle experience: 1 previous 500/wk test enth 12 week cycle in 2011 - good results gained approximately 20 lbs, kept approximately 12 lbs
So in February of 2014 I got into a pretty bad car accident and broke both of my legs. It resulted in me being essentially sedentary for 12 weeks and an additional couple of months of physical therapy. I gained about 35 lbs during the course of this time period.
After about a year hiatus I felt nearly 100% again (except for the fat gain) and have been back in the gym lifting like crazy and getting my cardio in.
I really want to run a mild test cycle (500/wk) i'm at 225 lbs right now at about 18% bf.
Based on previous experience with test I would love to run a light cycle of it while I cut.
My training is a basic 5 days split focusing heavy on compound movements with 45 minutes of cardio each day. Occassionally I will get into the gym on a saturday and hit whatever I feel like muscle wise and maybe swim some laps at the pool.
Diet A typical day would look like this:
6am: 4 eggs, 2 whites only 2 whole egg, some steel cut oatmeal
9am: a protein shake
Noon: Salad with 8-10 oz grilled chicken, couple handfuls of natural almonds
3pm: 8oz chicken breast, 1 cup of brown rice
4:30pm-6pm training
6:30pm - 10 oz chicken, salmon, lean steak, or turkey burger, with salad, a potato, and a protein shake
9:30pm - protein shake before bed and a handful of almonds.
My question for you is with this diet and my training would it be beneficial to run the light test cycle during my cut. My main idea is that it would prevent loss of previously gained muscle while I am in deficit. Or should I just run maybe some clen solo right now and lose weight that way? Save the test for this fall's bulk?
