TestE starting week 5, questions?

Ok so I have just completed my 4th week on TestE, 500mg/week. Honestly I wish I had done a higher dose, even though this is my first cycle ever. I have a few questions if you please.
I will preface this first question by saying that I did have to take a week off from the gym because I got a serious flu from my niece and had a 103 fever. Also barley ate in that week, and it was sooo fukin frustarting bc I felt like I was wasting the aa's.
My first question is;
I have not gained nearly what I thought I would in the first month. Is this more because of unrealistic expectations or am I doing something wrong? I actually look more cut but I am not gaining nearly the mass I thought I would. I eat MASSIVE amounts of food, sometimes forcing it down because im not even hungry.

Second question is about ai's;
So far I have NOT used an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) at all, and I have had literally NO problems with any side effects except a little sleep problems. I did end up purchasing liquidex just in case, per this site's advice, but so far I haven't used it and im fine. Should I continue to just run the gear without an ai? I don't see why I should add another chemical into my body if I don't really need it.

Last question;
I have been pinning twice/week 250mg per pin. Sometimes I find it hard to get it exactly on "1', so I put a little over, never under. The last pin I did I just put the rest of my first bottle which was like 325mg. Is it ok that its not the same EXACT amount each pin, or should I really try to get it as close as possible to the same every time?
This week I will have pinned 625mg as opposed to around 500 which I have been. Is it really bad to do this or not a big deal?

Thanks to any who actually read this and respond, I really have received great advice and help from this site so far! I know it was a fairly long read but really could use the help. Thanks

First Answer (w/ questions): How much are you eating and are you running an A.I. (yes I see now you are)? A lot of peoples quick increase in weight gain is from not running an A.I. as it keeps the water weight gain under control. How much did you weight at the start and how much do you weight now? I'm going to go with you might have unrealistic expectations right now. Give it some time.

Second Answer: Well damnit lol I guess you answered my first question. Well nothing is really wrong with keeping it on hand but be aware of the fact that when you start your PCT you might lose A LOT of your gains which you thought were solid muscle gains, when in reality it was water weight. Running the A.I. helps give you a better picture so to speak of where you're at....Well it does a ton more than that but I'm only speaking on the sudden weight change when you start PCT. A lot of guys complain about losing so much of what they that was their hard earned weight gains. If you aren't experiencing any water retention though maybe you won't be effected as bad.

Last question: I'm confused, why are you having trouble getting 250mg each pin? What CC syringe are you using?

edit: Just to add - Are you questioning your gear legitimacy or are you just thinking you're doing something wrong? Having your bloods done will help with the first part, which I'm hoping you ran them from the start so you have a baseline.

Quick question to you, by not running an Aromatase inhibitor (AI), wouldnt most of your test covert to estrogen preventing you from maximum gains or am i way off?

And because im sure people will ask, this is an example of what I eat for a day:

Meal 1-7:30AM
1 cup oatmeal, 1tbsp all natural peanut butter, 1 scoop whey protein, 1/3cup bluberries

Meal 2-9:45 to 10AM
12-15 egg whites, 3 slices turkey bacon, shredded cheese mixed in

Meal 3-12:15 to 12:45PM
1 and 1/2 chicken breasts, 1/2 cup broccoli, shredded cheese mixed in

Meal 4-3 to 3:15PM
4 large whole eggs, 1 slice wheat bread with peanut butter, 1 greek nonfat yogurt

Meal 5-5:15-5:30PM
1 can tuna or salmon with mayo, 1/2 cup cottage cheese or more greek yogurt

Train from about 7-8:30

Meal 6-(right after the gym)
post workout shake about 55grams protein, 80 grams simple carbs..(I count this as a meal, maybe I shouldn't?)

Meal 7-60-90mins after post workout shake
1 medium sweet potatoe or brown rice, 1 and 1/2 chicken breast(substitute a medium steak or cod/flounder fillets), 2/3 cup either broccoli or asparagus

Meal 8(before bed)
1 scoop whey protein, 1/2 cup cottage cheese

Any thoughts on this, its obviously not the same exact diet every day but this is a sample. I do not weigh my food or use a food scale, and I dont count calories/carbs, ect.. I just try to eat 40-50grams protein every 2.5-3 hours and throw in carbs with 3 meals; my morning meal, a few hours before I train, and my meal after my post workout shake. Also my post workout shake obviously has a lot of carbs too so I guess I include carbs with 4 of my meals.

Test e is a long ester drug. Most people don't see great results till about 4-6 weeks in. Considering u were sick and assuming your diet probably not where it should be would be why your where your at. Keep in mind, test is not a magical drug. It will help if your helping yourself.

More carbs would probably help a little. Also, when i started weighing and measuring all my food, i started seeing more gains

Yes to the maximum gains part. I don't think you can say "most" of your test "will" convert (if i'm wrong i'm sure someone will chime in here). A lot of guys don't run an A.I. with a basic beginners level cycle of test only (I see he added deca though). The possibility is there which is why I figure better safe than sorry and just run it from the start but not everyone does that. I could be way off but I think the possibility of it happening is the worry, not the guarantee that it will happen (still talking basic cycle).

If that was the case the rule of thinking would be for everyone to run an A.I. and not just have it on hand no matter what the cycle is. But as I said I might be wrong in my line of thinking. Anyone else feel free to chime in here.

Ok thanks for answering. That does make sense like you said, otherwise everyone would be recommended to run one

Ok to answer a few of your questions;

So far in the first month I have gained about 6 lbs..(went from 254-260).. However I think that may be water weight as stated, although I do seem to be more cut so maybe its not...

I am using 23g 3ml syringes, but when I measure it to "1" while im sucking out of the bottle, then I take it out there always seems to be less than 1, so now I just put a little more than 1 and when I take it out its usually JUST over 1.. I don't like to mess with then putting some back in, taking more out, ect.. So anyway it usually ends up slightly over the "1" mark if that makes sense lol..

I am pretty sure the gear is legit, its AML and I have seen the testicular atrophy, and oily skin, but like I said so far the sides have been more than bareable even without using the ai.. Maybe I am not training correctly? Or maybe I am just being impatient lol

Hmm ok if I'm understanding you correct you must be getting that strong vacuum effect? Where it's hard to pull back on the plunger to get the gear out and when you release some of the gear shoots back into the bottle? And it makes seeing where you're at harder?

That is likely caused by that 23g needle your using. Trying using an 18g or 20g to draw and then just switch the needle out before pinning. If not that then you will have to get use to pulling the plunger really far back and waiting for a while for the gear to settle and then pulling back some more and repeating the process until you have the amount you want. When I've used a 23g to draw with I've had to pull back and let some shoot back in then pull back again, etc etc. Until I had the amount I needed. Either way though you should be able to get the amount you need.

I wouldn't worry about it as 4-5 weeks for you to feel the gear kick in is normal. and as you said AML is g2g, so I would just focus on continuing to train hard, eat, and sleep...etc

Quick question kaname, how much can lack of sleep affect gains? That may be where my problem is. I usually average 5-6 hours of sleep/night, but sometimes im lucky if I get 2 hours. I have always had problems with sleep since I was younger, and now with the test it seems my sleep problems have got worse. Can this be a reason that I am not seeing optimal gains? How much of a role does sleep really play?

Your body needs rest as that's when it rebuilds itself and gains are made. I know everyone works on different amounts of sleep but 2 hours is extremely low. You should hit up 3j if you're concerned about your diet and I'm sure he will also address issues of not enough rest as well.

I can only tell you my experience with test e on 500mgh/week. I gained weight and size almost over night it seemed. After 2 weeks every time I weighed myself I was heavier. My hunger was insatiable and I ate enough protien to choke a bear.. Something my buddies reminded me of though, gear isn't magic. You training has to be focused on heavy weights, low reps, high intensity and hit it again, until your shaking. Then rest, eat and go again.. Two things Id ask you, one: is your gear legit? Could it be under dosed? And like it was mentioned, test e long ester, you should peak at 4-6 weeks. And, to answer your question, yes, we do have un=realistic expectations. You take a compound and it aids you, it doesn't create you

He's using AML, which is g2g.

sleep plays a huge role in gains. i remember when i was deployed in afghan (i'd get about 4-6 hrs of sleep sometimes less) i had the hardest time breaking over 200lbs (this is back in 2009) and stayed around the 195-197 range. once i came back to the states and started getting 8 hours i shot up to 205lbs. this was with no gear or anything.

Yeah I definitely need to work on getting more sleep. I am trying to get ambien from my doctor because of my sleep problems but he wants me to come into the office he won't call it in and his hours are 8-6 M-F and those are the hours I work lol.. anyway thanks for all the help ppl, once again you guys have come through and given some great thoughts/advice.
