Testosterone and Fatigue....................................

Men experience a gradual, yet steady decline in testosterone with age. Men lose approximately 1 percent of their testosterone each year after the age of 30. This means that a man in his 70s could have only 50 percent of his original testosterone level.

The ongoing loss of this male sex hormone is sometimes referred to as male menopause or andropause. And, like female menopause, it can bring with it a number of undesirable symptoms, including fatigue.

LOL too bad most guys in their 30's or younger nowadays have the level of a 70 year old man!

Try telling my G.P. about Low T and fatigue...
He said Testosterone does not assist in energy.

What the f**k is wrong with doctors?! This is the exact same attitude I keep coming up against.

It's a mixture of stuff. If G.P.'s were in medical school in the 70's or early 80's....
they are not exactly new to medicine. So they feel they are knowledgeable in treating people with methods that have worked for them...i.e. Pills.. There's a whole host of health issues that have come to the fore front thanks to advancements in medical science. A lot of these G.P.'s are stubborn, unwilling to change with the times and will not deviate from methods that they feel comfortable working with in order to "treat" the patient.
Example: let's say you have symptoms of mild to moderate depression, i.e. tired and wake up low energy everyday, low libido.
A lot of G.P's will "diagnose" that as "depression" and prescribe anti-d's to treat the symptoms you are reporting. We all know that symptoms are almost always a root cause of something.
This low energy or mild depression could be sleep apnea, Low T, Thyroid e.tc.....
If you treat the Low T, and Sleep apnea...then you don't really need the G.P's medications now do you???
How is he going to pay his bills if everyone gets to the root cause of their problem and starts seeing the appropriate "specialist". What about Big pharmas med's ?? who's going to need them if you "fix" your problem.
Following me here???
My G.P. absolutely does not want to hear about Low T.

That example is exactly what happened to me over two years ago. Doc wouldn't even consider Low T and put me on anti-depressants. Suffered through those for 2 years, but eventually got off them.

What did your Total T come back as when you saw that doc?
How did you get him to check it?
Most don't bother checking it...if it comes back Low they are obligated to treat it.
Most docs say: "nah...no need to"...if you ask to check T level...more so with E2 I find.

He wouldn't tell me and at the time I just took what doctors said as gospel. Not any more.

Most recent blood test shows T at 9.4 nmol/L (8-38) and Calc Free Test at 172 pmol/L (250-720).

Ever cycled before ?
I bet you went to a few Endos who told you: "9.4 nmol/L is technically normal".
I had 9.2 nmol/L and felt like shit and an Endo told me "you're normal"
I had to be below 7.6 nmol/L on that lab to be considered "low"

Yeah the amount of times I heard "you don't have low testosterone" or "your levels are normal" was ridiculous adn I'm still in the process of finding a Dr to treat me. I even had one GP say I was fine and that all the symptoms I was experiencing were all in my head. I could have strangled the guy.

TRT clinics will jump all over those T levels bro. They jumped all over mine at 25 y.o. with T.T. of 594 ng/dl.....lol
Finding the right Endo is really hard bro. Most are real stingy and reluctant to even start TRT for marginally low T levels....and many don't even know how to administer TRT properly.

Unfortunately here in Australia all those clinics are anti-aging clinics and have policies where they won't treat men under 35.

I haven't seen your background info...
how old are you?
what's your LH, FSH levels ?

I'm fairly certain it's all due to a long course of acne meds in my mid teens, as these symptoms (low t symptoms) are something I've dealt with since teens.
Was previously on anti-depressants which completely killed any dwindling libido I had previously, so I weaned myself off them.

Anti D's lower T....
There's guys that started off with 600 T and wound up in 200's after using SSRI's for a while....
according to blogs I read of the ppl using them.
SSRI's aren't natural substances to be found in nature....they are neuro toxins
