swimming is great...
when the time comes for me to get lean, I'm heading over to the pool.

well, many people advise low intesity cardio.
Such as using the treadmill, but not at a very fast pace so that not much muscle is burnt.
You can always do a combination of things if you'd like, but has been said that it is best to do your cardio execercises in the morning, so you should consider keeping that in mind.
hope that helps.

i think swimming is amazing cardio ... its good for your muscles too.. the treading through the water ...

not to mention its refreshing .. except in those yellow pools :D

Cross country skiing --great winter cardio
Hiking up a fairly steep mountain with a 60lb backpack-keep a good even pace
Swimming is one of my favorites--total body

The ultimate is to turn your weight training program into a cardio workout by making a circuit routine--great for cutting

Get on the ECA stack and thats half the job done.
Then do stationery bike, treadmill and heavy bag work and you will be shredded.

Oh and dont forget to eat clean.

if you have a heavy bag then heavy bag drills are the shit. basically you will stand with your nose touching the bag. then with one hand you will push the bag away and hold it at arms length. let it go. punch with your other hand. just keep punching the bag and keep it at a 45 degree angle. start out with 30 second intervals and increase the work time as you get more endurance. dont ever rest more than a minute but really 30 seconds is what you are aiming for. trust me, the bag will kick your ass at first. it is not easy keeping it at a 45 degree angle especially standing so close to it. if it becomes too easy then assume a karate horse stance and keep going. this is a great workout. expect your arms, forearms, shoulders, chest and back to be screaming at you. interestingly enough i find that this type of cardio actually builds up any weak points in your upper body while burning fat. sometimes i am unable to lift my arms after a good session. second best cardio is the jump rope. if you are crazy try it with a medium caliber chain. third favorite: wind sprints.
