well,i started doing test cyp shots 200 ml back in august.once every three weeks.around November he bumped it up to once every two weeks.i saw him today and told him i still wasnt really feeling any effects and figured he'd suggest once a week(as he had mentioned upon the last visit). but he just took blood and said stay with every two weeks and said come back in August.ummmmm,thanks...

Sadly most docs don't get it. Also if your getting your labs on that week you injected it's going to be higher then the second week. The goal should be to have a steady stable T level. One needs to inject every week to get that. I actually split my dose into two injections a week. That really helped my levels stabalize. That advice came from IMT a site sponsor here. There's a lot of info in the trt section, a very helpful sponsor and members that can explain it far better then I. This forum helped square my trt away.
So there is hope.

Hmm, let me ask you a question: When you go to the store and pay for a package of hamburger, do you expect hamburger - or is it okay if they slip you some sawdust packed in bloody paper instead? If you pay to have your oil changed, is it okay for them to fill your wiper fluid reservoir instead? If you pay to have a doctor alleviate symptoms and correct a hormone imbalance, is it okay to get half-assed protocols?

Yeah. I think you know the answer to your question.

Alternatively, you can learn as much as possible and ask your doc WHY they are comfortable with you being at a substandard dosing protocol and push to find out what your other hormone values are. Dollars to doughnuts they're going to look at you like a deer caught in headlights. Great docs in this area are definitely worth their weight in gold (and tend to charge like it too).

My .02c :)

Understandable on his part I'd say... 200mg per week may well put you over range and doing bloodwork first to see where your T levels are now seems reasonable.

OP's protocol is 200mg E2W. (100mg/wk) While 100mg/wk may be an appropriate dose, going every 14 days is not.

I agree with that. That would certainly be something to take up with the doctor.

My point was that the fact that the doctor wouldn't move from 200mg/2weeks to 200mg/week without doing bloodwork first is not a reason to fire him.

EDIT: hmm kind of missed the "come back in August part"... that's a long time to go between visits when not dialed in. Maybe I have to recant...

I made it through the first sentence and can answer your question :)

every 3 week injects = time for a new doctor

thanks guys..i considered a new doc..but how many would i have to weed through before i found someone to work with me??this guy is a urologist.should i seek an endo??
and why take blood and say see you in six months??shouldnt you discuss the results a bit sooner?this guy has been hit or miss...half of my visits he has been receptive and the other half he has been dismissive.im not lying to him when i say im not feeling the effects(for my sagging libido hes always pushing levitra on me.)but its not just the libido boost i seek but all of the other great things i see you guys posting about(enhanced mood/sense of well being etc).ive been patient but not so much now.
ive considered just doing the once a week myself but the increased need for refills would soon be detected then he'd cut me off completely.meh.
