TNE Oil vs water based (My experience)

This is my personal take on TNE as it pertains to the different types of solutions.
I now have pretty good experience using both oil based and water based TNE as a pre workout supplement.

I first started with PSL's TNE in oil. It is 100mg/mL so I would pin 100mg 1 hour pre workout.

Noticed:

PROS

-more sustained energy
-better pumps
-faster recovery between sets.
-no pip whatsoever

CONS

-Felt like it wasn't fully kicked in until several hours later.
-I smelt it coming out my poors.
-I could taste the strong flavor of the oil in my breath.
-Felt a but flu-y on the come down.

I thought this was the best thing going. I raved about it on the forums.

Then I was given a sample of PSL's water based TNE to give a review on. It was only 50mg/mL Unlike oil based, it wasn't dissolved in the solution. It was a fine powder suspended in water. The powder had settled at the bottom so a good shake of the vial was necessary before drawing. I used a 25g 1" pin to draw and replaced it with another 25g 1" pin to inject. COULD NOT get the stuff to come out. I got discouraged and continued to use the oil based thinking it was better.

Well not too long after I was having a convo with our friend VISION. He told me I had to try the water based TNE. He told me he shot it with a 28g slin pin which I thought was impossible. I had some 27g so I gave it one more shot. He told me just shoot it subQ into the belly fat. Turns out if you hold it horizontal, it prevents the powder from settling in the syringe and clogging the tip.

Despite shooting subQ instead of IM....this stuff hit me within the hour. Unlike the oil based, I could actually feel it kick in. It was a cool wave of adrenaline, followed by a great sense of motivation and well being. The initial rush was a bit strange. It was almost like a hot flash followed by a cold sweat. But after that passed I hit the weights.

Noticed:

PROS

-huge pumps
-awesome vascularity (i had none prior because I lose my veins when I'm bulking.)
-Increased aggression which led to extra forced reps
-Faster recovery between sets
-could not would not leave the gym, had to throw in a small leg session at the end to satisfy myself
-you could "feel" the kick in so you knew when it was time to hit the gym
-50mg was MORE than enough

CONS

-tough to control e2 spike (woke up with bacne)
-small amount of pip

CONCLUSION

Water based is an overall better pre workout supplement. It hits faster, and harder despite being only half the concentration of the oil based. 50mg of water based was superior to 100mg of the oil based due to it hitting the blood stream quicker. Also you can conveniently pin the water based subQ. Oil based may be better for cycling purposes but water based is better for pre workout hands down.

That's my opinion on the two different types of TNE. Thanks for listening

I noticed you mentioned the smell of this as well as aggression in the gym and wicked pumps. I have experienced the exact same thing right down to some pip. I could chew nails before starting my workout I think. In the end, the odor both from my pores and from the bottle caused me too much grief with the wife. Was very effective though. My2cnts.

I didn't really mind the smell, but it made me a bit self conscious when working out near another person because I know they could smell it. If I could describe the smell I would compare it to musty urine lol.

wow, not good.

Just want to give an update. Tried IM pinning with water based. All I can say is WOW. It kicked in so fast. Literally within 15 minutes I was getting hot flashes and started sweating. All my lifts were up. I was doing my usual weight with ease and got bored with it so bumped everything up. My forearms were spider webs. Mind you, I'm mid bulk and have no veins during the day currently. Just what I needed to get my ass to the gym at 4:30 am.
