To trt or come off, thoughts?

Hi guys, first post here! Background. I'm 39, had TT test of 388 10 years ago. Found to have a vericocele then and had it fixed. Never had post surgery bloods done. Ran a few cycles over the past 10 years. Late 2016 did a test deca cycle (500 each) and did power pct from dr scaly. 10 weeks after the cycle my TT was 40! My endo put me on trt and been doing great.

However, I have thoughts of coming off...This is going to sound stupid but I struggle with coming off trt mainly for the thought of getting my natural test back even though I was never above 388 natural in my life...
I think I like the idea of my hpta working, not shutting down an organ (my testes etc) and I often think it's more natural/safer than being on synthetic test...that is, why does my natural test not raise my hematocrit but synthetic does?

Anyway, I hate coming off, so my question is, doing hcg while on trt serves the same function right? My testes still work in a sense while I have extra test in me, best of both worlds I guess. Am I missing something? Should I come off or is that stupid? Not sure why I struggle with this...

Thanks and sorry if a dumb first post! I read a lot before posting and people like roush know their stuff!

On trt? I do 26 mg subQ every 3 days and my last TT was 550... LH zero

Pre trt labs, TT 40, LH zero, fsh low (less than.5) prolactin normal. E2 21, all else labs plus brain MRI was normal... it was taken as about 10 weeks after a test deca cycle. That's why I was seeing if a restart would be worth it in light of not using deca in the past 8 months now...

Injected testosterone is released into it active form 24 hours a day. Natural testoserone fluctuates up to 50% in a day according to a VA endocrinologist. Basically if you were tested first thing in the morning your levels could drop 50% before the next days peak. Injected test has it peak of injection timing. There are some hours a day where in theory TRT runs "high" testosterone. Playing with any body system has other effects.

What time was it between last pin and PCT?

Healthy males tend to have higher testosterone and lower estrogen. I know from my epilepsy research epileptics have statistically lower test and lot of other things that go to late life things like Alzheimer, weak bones, erectile dysfuntion and even general cold and flu.

Injected test inside TRT doses have a pretty low risk. No more than birth control in my opinion.

Low testosterone doesn't just change erections muscles and motivation. It effects brain function. Seizures were improved in some people with increased test alone. Estrogen also influences brain function. Higher levels lower seizure thresholds/more seizures. Low levels also cause issues.

I had a TT at about 400 pre TRT and aint no way I'm going back. I'll donate blood and watch my labs and live a relatively healthy lifestyle.

If you come off I'd PCT. If the docs did post while I was writing this most guys come back when they are living that low T life again.

Thanks! I had labs 12 years ago and TT was 308, that was when I was like 28 years old. I think I'll stay on...
