Too much protein??

Hey.. Just a quick question here. I never usually use any protein powders or any supplements at all except EC before work outs. I try and get as much proteins/ carbs from my food

Typical day would be kinda like this

Breaky
2 slices whole wheat toast
4-5 egg whites, 2 whole eggs
Glass of milk

Lunch
Chicken breast or 2
2 slices of bread or 2 cups of broccoli
Xstal light lemonade mix or water & coffe

Dinner
Chicken breast or lean ground beef
Or a bagel & coffee.

That is what my diet has looked like usually for the last few months. Give or take some things. Recently I'm ramping up to cut fat, bulk a bit while doing so. Then once I'm at a good bf% I was going to cycle test e for 500mg for 12 wks.. But that's a fair ways away until my diet is 100% dialed in

So tje other day I picked up a 5lb tub of iso whey.. I have been taking about 35-37grams of protein per shake( big scoops) and about 6-7 a day... 1 with every meal and in-between meals at work ( I have a very physical job, a workout in it self) I tracked my intake the last 4 days and have been getting usuly around 300-350g of protein, usually 60-150 complex carbs. And keeping cals under 1750 ( as I mentioned. Trying to loose some bf) aswell as cardio about 4-5 times a week and usuLly burn anywhere from 500-2000 calories per session with weights 3 times a week. Cals depending on time frames

My weight is dropping. I added protein support to try and save a bit of muscle.

My question is... Is this to much protein? I've upped the protein from food quite a bit. Usually about 12 egg whites a day. Lots of white and red meat.

just so we are clear your having 6-7 protein shakes at 37g per serving??

yah dude wtf? i take in 200-250g of whey ED but each shake it 50-80g so thats 3-4 ed.
+4-5 meals.

you can put more then a scoop in eachone.
i rec you add in peanutbutter and oatmeal to them and blend it up if you can.
i rec you make each one 50g and take in 3-4 shakes.

WHOA i know your trying to loos fat but your cals are WAY to low and diet is deff off..
you should google:" carb cycling for fatloss"

Why would it be better to consume 3-4 shakes a day with 50g opposed to what I'm doing? And why are my calories too low?

I was going off the idea of 1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. Or around there.. I will read up those suggestions.

Any other input?

first a foremost... rule #1 EAT REAL FOOD!!!!

the only time i allow shakes in my clients diets or any other diet i critique is pwo.. thats it!!

second of all.. for someone who is 200+lbs your eating at the level of a woman.. your body is going to stall and your metabolism is going to crash...

if you wanna get your diet straight you have two options..

1. go to my free diet advice thread, read post 1 and do everything it asks of you.. and get back to me... ill critique your diet for you.. for free of course..

2. if you wanna get hard core about this stuff since you seem just a bit lost as to which way to go with this whole diet thing, you can always become a client and let me worry about what your gonna eat when.. if that's something that interests you email me at the address provided in my signature...

either way we will get you set up down a much more optimal path

Haha eating like a woman!? Hopefully that's why I have some man boobies. Anyway.. I'll def take you up for the help. Though I'll have to wait a bit as my time is very limited. I work about 12-13 hour days.. And between that, training, shopping and running around I don't get to much free time. Most of my work onthe forum here is done through my iPhone ( like now lol ) on my way to or from work.

I'm going to really try and keep track of the macros. I'll fire you off an email this weekend hopefully with a couple of photos and I'll see about getting a fit test done at the gym.

I will also cut back on the protein shakes. Iade it to the grocery store today. Stocked up on more food, pork loin, sirloin steaks, oats, wwheat breads, chicken and broccoli, almonds and some other good stuff.. And I'll try and ensure a good 6 meals a day. But like I said I will get the ball Rollin on that information soon here.
