training intensity and volume while on

Hi:
I´m interseted in knowing how harder you train (regarding volume and intensity) while on than while off.
I know my sweet spot when off, as this has been my state up till now:D For example, for chest I use ten sets, and anything more is counterproductive for me, and I may go to failure on the last set of the three different exercises.
So, now that I am on, how harder should I train, if at all... any more changes you think should be made?

I just got done reading that whole thread. to me it seemed just a bunch of folks talking about HIT, training, giving opinions about everything from the sky to the moon. Long thread and some of it was pretty interesting what some folks posted about the HIT theory and what actually happened in the JONES experiement.
 
i think it usually depends person to person, see what works for you, try adding 2-4 more sets...and working out another day or two a week...like lets say you have a 4 day split....hit the gym 6 days a week, that way 2 days are getting done twice that week and the other 2 days are getting done twice the next week...just try different things like that and see if it helps you grow...
 
Thanks Deepglute, that was a nice read indeed! Although, I would like something more specific, as I am a bit lost. I am not growing as I think I should while on :-( and I don´t know which is the missing link...
