Training more frequently

Dont you guys think that training a muscle once a week takes too long to recover and grow? Especially something like delts. I can understand squats in fact I squat every 7-10 days. but delts, arms, etc these things I lag from not giving them attention in the past from focusing only on PL movements. Doesnt it make more sense to hit each muscle every 5 days? I know everyone is different but nearly everyone trains each muscle every 7 days and I don't like that idea. I need to add mass badly.

as for training arms more often if you have a set aside arms only day and you work back chest on different days as well then you are working tris and bis 2 times per week , tris get 3 times per week if you alos have a different shoulder day. tris get heavy work on chest days and some on shoulder days as well. bis get blasted on back day . delts get hit on chest day.

imo most people train arms to often and to light .multi angled concentration movements and cable work may [ and i mean may ] shape the arms but barbell and dumbbell work done heavy at lower reps add mass . ive seen powerlifters with huge mass on their arms who never trained them directly [ pullinbig from here is a example ]

yes I agree that is why I havent done an arms day. I do believe in compound movements. i benched, squatted and pulled for years but my diet sucked. i wouldnt eat enough. i just revamped my routine after i posted this. its 4 days per week:

Shoulders/traps
Legs/low back/abs
rest
chest/triceps
rest
back/biceps
rest

starting with shoulders in that case only military and behind the neck military presses and shrugs for those and maybe 1 iso movement afterwards. then its squats and SLDL the following day. after a day of rest, i will bench BB or DBs and maybe do some dips or heavy flyes followed by 1 or 2 free weight movements for triceps (so many to choose from) and then back and biceps will consist mainly of chins and rows as my low back is still tender from an injury i had in january so i cant deadlift at least til my low back is thicker and stronger. follow that up with 2 free weight ex for curls. the only machines i do like are the hammer strength but i rarely ever do them either. the neck presses and chest supported rows work good. i find the HS to be a cross between free weights and machines. also since my delts lag i might do some more pressing on chest/triceps day. so that is working them twice a week only because i feel it is a small muscle group and is lagging.
