training with a cold?

I always wondered if its really bad to weight train while your starting to get a cold....I try to do light weights, and drink lots of water, but is it pointless to even try to build muscle while feeling weak? I know my body needs to recover...what does evry one else do???
 
no sense in making your body recover from two things simultaneously.

cant imagine having too productive of a workout in the first place.

IIRC, you are perpetually dieting. getting sick can be a good sign that your immune system is shot and you need a couple weeks above maintenance.
 
I remember reading if you train while ill It runs your body down and leaves you open to more serious illnesses.
eg. if you have a cold it could develop into pnumonia then you got problems.
Better off resting a few days than running yourself into the ground.
