transdermal testosterone - what's the scoop?

Hi - I am on transdermal testosterone (200mg/day
twice per day, resolving to (I think) about 5-7mg
absorbed).

My other doctor who uses shots only, in the butt,
says transdermal test is very bad but his explanation
goes right over my head.

The worst I can see about it is that it raises DHT.
But I can suppress that with Saw Palmetto / Pygeum
Africanum but also Finnasteride. I've taken all three
and like PA the most since it keeps nighttime biobreaks
to a minimum.

So what is bad about transdermal testosterone?

Basically, transdermal testosterone is less effective in so far as you aren't exactly sure how much of the compound is being absorbed. You should be going for blood tests, etc. if you are getting it from a doctor but it's still not an exact science. Injectable testosterone gives you the benefit of knowing exactly how much will be reaching your bloodstream, so to speak.

That's one of the more basic reasons.

What a horrible waste of good test 400mg applied daily and 10-15mg reaches the system? That's close to 3g/wk of base... Ahhh.

That stuff must be dirt cheap to produce...:):):)
