we call it TRICEP DEATH
it requires workout partners and some wood , the boards should vary from 1-4 boards thick for a total of 4 boards .all sets are for 6 reps with the first set to the chest , while locking out the 6th rep a 1 board will be placed on the chest and 6 more reps immediately performed , after 6 reps to the 1 board a 2 board is quickly swapped in , so on and so forth till the 6th rep with a 4 board .
this is a total of 30 reps and if the right weight is used the last rep should be near torture , and the next day your tricps will feel like they are being tortured

fuck i'd die. Sign me up!! I train alone...so i'll just have to borrow one of the guys at the gym for a few minutes. Of course, after i stop by the hardware store to pick up some wood! BOOM!

what type of weight are we talking about? What's do-able for 6 full ROM reps for all 5 sets?

Brutal. I'd LOVE to try that. But unfortunately, I workout alone too. I will have to grab one of my buddies that lifts at a different time and some 2x4's and will DEFINATELY "tri" this.

As a side question, like Vadar asked, what type of weight should you start out at? And after this, do you do any more work for tri's, or do you call it a day?

i think if you do it right, you'll be begging to go home to see your mamma, needing a big drink of milk & a nap

if you do it wrong, you'll do it at the start of your work out and will be a bit of a weird warm up

Have done something similar ... my gym has the sturdy foam pads for doing things such as this ... it's tremendous!

Yeah, those pads are nice. Wish my gym had them.

Gonna have to just guess the weight to use. I bench around 400, so I'm thinking probably 245. Pretty light, but w/ this shit, I bet the weight feels real heavy real quick.

think of your 5RM, then subtract 10% from that! If you go too light, you wont get the full benefit

only way to find the right amount is to experiment. as info its usually less than you think it will be.

i'm going to give it a go ONLY because its coming from DAWDAWG, but I will use a spotter just in case, and I advise everyone else going to try it to do the same.

it takes a few people , at least 1 guy holding and changeing boards and 1 spotter . there is no rest between boards , just long enough to set up the boards and then press.

Call me crazy, I guess I'm the only one who didn't understand your explaination but I have no idea otherthan the wood part what you're suggesting to do.

1 set after another without racking the bar , you pause the bar at the top while your buddy changes the boards.
