ok....I did not fit the mold of why my T was low....so I wanted a seconds opinion..

went to Endo. on Tuesday....he said, depending on results, lay off the CPY shots (1ml a week).....wanted to do blood work and see.

I called today about blood work....they said my Gonadotropin levels were low...and my T was 321.....and that they wanted to do a MRI of my Pituitary gland.

scheduling it soon......

Nurse said, depending how the MRI results, but the Dr. wanted me to cut out CPY shot's and see him in 3 month!!!!!

good grief!

You should Fire your endo don't stop your test shots or you will get wost contact IMT they will set a good protocol for you and will fix your problem, call them now

The first Endo I went to did kinda the same thing. Wanted me to do a bunch of tests including MRI, before having me on any treatment and follow up with him in 3 months. The MRI is to look for a pituitary tumor, but even if they find one (and it is highly unlikely they will) the treatment of your low T is still the same. I've found that Endo's wasted a lot of my time and really didn't give me any options. My recommendation is get your MRI so you know if there is a tumor but start looking into Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinics, they know what they are doing way more than Endo's and in the long run cost less.

THAT'S WHAT i WAS AFRAID OF....

guess I should let them do the MRI of Pituitary glad????.......is that covered by insurance??? I have Blue Cross & Blue Shield

Pituitary MRI is part of the standard set of tests when evaluating hypogandism, so it should be covered by almost any insurance.

Just don't freak yourself out. It's very very rare for them to find one, and even if they do the tumor is usually so small and slow growing you'll die of old age before it becomes an issue.

My MRI came back as "Brain is unremarkable, Pituitary is normal" which was a huge blow to the ego. :nerd:
