TRT and Thyroid Testing Question

Just a quick refresher: I had chimed in about a month ago regarding cessation of TRT after about 10 days.
steroidology.com/forum/testosterone-replacement-therapy/659593-week-test-cyp-hcg-want-get-off.html
I'm about 6 weeks off and I am only taking a very low dose clomid about 6 mg daily, I for the most part feel decent.

That being said, some day's I'll have a strong libido and solid EQ, other days even if I feel overall healthy no libido and
cant get it up. In terms of dating this boner roulette is no bueno.

Some days I get 2 or 3 hot flashes and feel weak. Other days I can jerk off 4 times
So I am seriously considering restarting TRT(along with HCG and arimdex) and giving it 4-6 weeks at a minimum.

The question I have is, if I restart TRT, but also wanted to get tested for Thyroid issues, which would go a ways in explaining
the roller coaster effect of how I feel on a daily basis.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello Charliebucket,

It would be very hard to try to answer your question without past and current blood work, however 10 days of TRT wouldn't change your profile drastically. Neither would 6 mg of Clomiphene.

Before starting TRT it is recommended to get a full panel including TSH.

Shoot me an email or call me if you want guidance or help! There must have been a reason to starting TRT in the first place, and it seems like you still need a proper TRT regimen for your issues.

I'll give you a call shortly:

Hope that helps

Listen to Daniel from IMT. I will say that I personally think that if you have a thyroid or adrenal problem it can really affect the way your trt works. I had a reverse t3 issue and low cortisol and my trt was practically becoming obsolete in terms of effects.

Thanks for the input lakers0812
Did you discover your cortisol issue while on TRT ?
I've started back up - 1 injection of HCG and 1 Injection of test cyp, wanted to run a cycle for 6 weeks and see how I feel, but wanted to test for other things like IGF-1, cortisol, and any thyroid related tests, but wasnt sure if being on TRT would alter the results.

Will stop injecting now if they do and get bloodwork in the next week .

Actually, yes I did discover it on trt. I developed high reverse t3 and had to be on t3 only for 16 weeks to finally clear it as it was clogging my receptors. Even after clearing rt3 I was still feeling like crap so I consulted with a pretty knowledgable yahoo group on my adrenal labs. Although my labs were in the "normal range" they were far from normal. Very low cortisol. The cortisol issue actually caused my elevated rt3 in the first place. I took a cortisol saliva test:

8am: needs to be at top of range
noon: 3/4 to the top of range
4pm: half of range
bedtime: should be at bottom of range

I am currently on hydrocortisone now to rest my adrenals
