The urethra is an important part of the urinary tract. While it’s primary job in both genders is to pass urine outside the body, this channel also has an important role in ejaculating semen from the reproductive tract of men.

Most people will not have any problems with the urethra, but a few of us may experience the discomfort and dysfunction associated with urethral stricture disease.

What is this and how can it be treated?

I think I may have this. Interesting to read it can be treated with antibiotics?

About three years ago I went to the urologist as I has all the classic symptoms of BPH. He prescribed me some pills and told me to come back in two weeks. When I went back and told him there was just a small difference, he then said he thought I might have a blockage. The procedure he described to rectify a problem he wasn't even 100% sure I had was so invasive, I just said no thank you and walked out, never to return.

I had that and had it removed actually! It was a very unpleasant experience! Even after having the stricture removed, I still had chronic utis and prostatitis. Come to find out it was the combo of ADD meds and Testosterone that were causing my issues since they both can screw with the prostate. I had to either take my ADD meds, or T, but not both at the same time.
