Var and Birth Control - Question

Hi.

Posted this under the main forum 4 or five days ago and got nada for answers. Hoping I get a better target here.

I know this has been covered in some other posts, but I'm still a little perplexed:

I was doing a cycle of var while on birth control, I had some spotting. Here's why I was concerned. I've been on this birth control (Levora) for years, and I don't take the dummy week, so I haven't had a period in years. Seeing spotting I was concerned that the Levora has lost potency and I might be at risk for pregnancy. Luckily, my husband was deployed at the time, so no worries there, but I'm thinking of starting another cycle and want to make sure I'm safe.

There's some stuff I've been reading that taking them both is counterintuitive. What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks

I don't believe there is an interaction between birth control pills and anavar. However, if you are using any ancillaries there could be some interactions.

You can take a look here to confirm.

Thanks. There's nothing listed, which makes me feel better on the reduced efficacy of the birth control question. I don't think any website is going to mention whether the birth control reduces the efficacy of the var though. This particular BC is levonorgestrel 0.15 mg (synthetic progestogin) and ethinyl estradiol 0.03 m (estrogen.) I'm no doctor, but I feel like taking estrogen and AAS make no sense. One has to counteract the other, right?

I don't think birth control is going to reduce the effectiveness of Var. If you were male, it would be a different story. But women needs lots of estrogen. Men only need a little bit.
