i take 1200 IU/ED of Vit. E, one in morning and one after training in the evening. Vit. C, i take probably 8g/ED throughout the day for optimal absorption. Zine, i take 100mg in the morning. You dont have to go as high as i do on the dosages btw.
The RDA for zinc is 15mg for me and 12mg for women. However, the PDI(Performance daily intake) for men and women who are healthy and actively training is 30-300mg.
As for Vitamin E, recent studies show that it's complete and health and muscle benefits come from a daily intake of 400 to 1200IU's a day.
I would suggest taking Vitamin E with food as it is a fat soluble vitamin.
With Vitamin C, you may get variant opinions on this one. You will find that some people are fine with taking just 500mg a day. I myself, like to take in 2000mg a day. I know plenty of people that take up to 3 grams a day of Vitamin C and just split it up throughout the day.
The PDI of Vitamin C for men and women who are healthy and actively training is 800-3000mg a day.
I would recommend between 1 to 3 grams ED of Vitamin C, 400 to 800 ius of Vitamin E ED(make it natural with different tocopherols and added toctrienols(sp?) and 60mg of zinc ED. I would also add 100mcg to 200mcg of selenium ED(yeast derived) for a complete mix.
