If someone were to ask me I'd say "You're either losing fat and gaining muscle OR just gaining muscle."
Here is my situation:
Started weightlifing in 2002. Didn't know what I was doing for years.
2005/6 I get on a proper program and try to dial in my diet. The diet was the hardest part.
2008 I start a 5X5 powerlifting program. Loved it but was getting stronger not lighter.
2010 I switch back to a modified version of my old routine and switch between that and the 5X5 every 3 months. Diet isn't perfect.
Last year I was introduced to MI40 by Bpak and it has beenthe best thing ever. I was stimulating muscles I never knew I had, soreness for weeks. For the first time ever, after my first round on MI40 coworkers (who had no idea of my change) started commenting on my weightloss. My belt needed new notches in it and I've been told to get new jeans because the ones I have look baggy. Old jackets I couldn't button up before I was now buttoning up, although it seemed tighter along the back and shoulders.
My diet isn't 100 percent. There is no excuse but here is why: I was told Im prediabetic. I got a bg monitor. I tried figuring out what foods are good and what to stay away from. I'm low carb taking in Carbion+ midworkout and 1:1 ratio protein:carb post workout. Morning and early afternoons it's protein and fat. I eat between 3000 and 4000 calories a day depending on whether I'm in the gym that day or if my work schedule has me super busy.
2006 I was 120kgs
All of last year prior to MI40 I was hovering at 140kgs
Today Im 156kgs (4 rounds of MI40)
I'm 181cm tall
I'm at the hospital to see about getting my bf tested but i'm sure I'm 30+.
I expected a much larger drop in weight because of the comments and clothes fitting. After I get my bf calculated I'm going to get my diet down to 100 percent perfect, do my 5th round MI40 with more sessions of HIIT and get my bf tested again.
Any comments, advice, opinions would be greatly appreciaed. I never though 3000 to 4000 calories would bring me up in weight considering the weight I'm at.
