Water weight related querry??

i like to do a few HIIT punch bag / pad sessions to keep water weight off and metabolism booming. is this recomended or what? i feel fresh when i go back to weights and i am not lazy when i start training again. when i have a full week off were i dont do anything, i get really lazy and it takes me a week or 2 to get back to form
