Weighing Powders on 50gr Scale?

I have a good 50gr digital scale, accurate to .01 gr. The question I have is how do you weigh powders on it if they are in a vial? Many of my vials weigh close to, or more than 50gr, which means I have to take the powder out of the vial. Do you put down wax paper and dump the powder on it? This seems to create some loss when I do this. Either a little sticks to the paper or a little spills when putting it back in the vial.

What do you all do to weigh powders and to minimize loss?

You are going to have to use the wax weigh paper if you are weighing out alot of powder. Fold the paper in half before you weigh it out, it's easier to pour that way, and you are going to lose less than 0.1g anyway.

Ok, thanks for your help.

Is wax weigh paper the same as regular wax paper, or is this a specialty item?

Found something that works great: a plastic protein scoop. It weighs only about 10 grams and holds 5 grams of powder, packed.

I then dump the weighed powder onto wax paper, or into a funnel and then into a vial.
