If you dont use a belt, what other way can you incorporate weight into your dips? Dumbell held w/ feet?

i wouldn't pay much attention to that idea though .. i dno't know many bags that would hold that much weight.. and i just think its a stupid idea lmao ...

Hahahaha, a back pack! lol.........................

lol
If I ever saw someone doing weighted dips with a backpack on, they'd endure a personal slapping given to them by myself.
No but seriously, just invest in a belt. You'll be happy in the longrun.

I use a backpack some times. Put the backpack on backwards (on your chest) It will make you lean foward to hit your chest more or on your back to focus on tris.

HOLD ON .. there are guys out there doing 150 - 200lbs of weight on their chain belt????!?!? crazy .. after my close grip benches .. i put on 45's and i struggle .... geez.. strong mofo's..

Cool Cap! I like the backpack idea. I just use a towing chain that I bought at Home Depot. Have em cut it at 4 feet. Buy a heavy duty carabeener and just use those with your existing weight belt. Just string the chain through one or two 45's then clip them on the carabeener and then put your belt through the chain. Start dipping away.

I do dips with 4, 45lb plates hanging from the belt. So thats 180lbs extra. I weigh 203lbs.

That is awesome! I thought I was doing well by using 2, 45lb plates 4 plates is incredible. Your triceps and pecs must be incredible. Is that your max weight or can you do ten reps of 4/45's? I can do ten reps without too much difficulty with 2/45's I never have tried to do 4/45's

I weigh 223 at 5ft7

My tris are great, my pecs are ok IMO, but not my best muscle group yet. I dip 4 plates for 10 reps. Full stretch.

I will have to try to do a set of 4/45's I like dips better than bench because my tendonitus tends to act up with heavy bench, but dips do not give me any problems. My triceps are great but not as great as my shoulders and pecs. My shoulders and pecs are almost overdeveloped compared to my triceps. I am lucky, for a short guy I have a wide shoulder structure, even when I was very skinny I still had wide shoulders. My pecs grow almost too easily, I am bulking now and my pecs are like balloons. Everyone thinks I should be able to bench so much more but I am afraid of a setback if severe tendonitus kicks in again.

Did 4/45s today only could do 8 reps this was my fourth set very deep controlled movement--damn the 8th rep was nearly impossible-I almost threw up after that set.
