Bro, it's great that you're learning - so don't take this as a flame. But if you are to really absorb this stuff so you don't have to come back asking the same questions next time, then try to do some of the math yourself, as well as understand the concepts behind it. Then come and run it by the board, and we'll tell you if you've gotten it right. Simply asking everyone to do it for you isn't going to teach you anything, and even though you may be doing things correctly, you won't really know why. That is very important in case something comes up and adjustments need to be made.
I'm glad for the feedback, so don't take this as a response to the post that wasn't a flame. Perhaps the way you do things works for you. That's all well and good. I'm happy for you. However, i am a perfectionist. I ask every little question, about every detail whether it's annoying or not, because you know what would be more annoying? Being 4 weeks into a cylce, having gyno pop up and not sure how much nolva i should be taking. As far as "Try to do some of the math yourself, as well as understand the concepts behind it. Then come and run it by the board, and we'll tell you if you've gotten it right," to me is not the logical way to do it. I hate seeing people try and assume things, numbers, meausurements, etc, and then state it as fact, only to be shot down or corrected numerous times. This takes up the same, if not more time, AND is more aggravating, b/c personally whenver i talk with someone who knows less about a topic than me, i'd rather have them phrase something as a question instead of a fact and wait for me to correct them. Hormones are not a trial and error matter. Sorry, but they're not. That is not how i go about finding information.
This is the way I learn. I ask ALOT of questions. They may seem tedious, but that's fine. They're not. And to be honest, if this was Aboot that was saying something like you've said, then i would agree to a degree, but this is the first thing you've said in this thread. Beyond that, if you look at the post times, they were at around 3-4am. I don't know about you, but i don't have a lot going on at that time, and i'm willing to be Aboot didn't either, other wise he wouldn't have been quite so speedy or cordial with his responses.
I understand the direction you are trying to go with the "Try and understand the concepts...", but I do understand WHY you take things like nolva, or clomid, or test in the first place. I read the profiles section, and have been avidly reading threads for a while. Notice my post number, i don't just say things just to say them. If i don't have something relevant to say, I don't. Conversely, if i have a question, i will ask, and specify till the cows come home. It's just how i am. Quite honestly, and this is not a disrespect or a shot at you, but if you don't have anything constructive to add to my questions, then by all means, pass them on. Thanks.
