heres the deal, the show I'm doing is the end of september, so I'm not officially starting the pre-contest diet till July 1st. But I have plateaued in size, I'm at 5'8 1/2", 235lbs at 12%, which will put me onstage at around 205-210lbs. I dont want to just sit on my ass for the next 6 weeks, so this is what I'm thinking...

Its a version of the ABC (Anabolic Burst Cycling) approach that was big a few years ago. I'll drop my calories by 1500-2000 per day for 2 weeks, basically go into a strict diet. At the end of the diet, I'll bump them back up another 2000 or so calories. I'm hoping that coming off the diet will slingshot me into some extra growth. Any thoughts???

BTW, I'm on heavy test and EQ right now, and was thinking of throwing dbol back in during the bulking up phase

I would give it a try. You are far enough out from your comp that you can experiment with stuff like this without fucking up your chances in September. When were you planning on starting this?

I started in monday. I think I dropped the carbs too much though, under 100 per day, as my energy levels sucked ass and I went flat in a hurry. From monday to friday I'm down 5lbs though...I just cant wait to start eating big again, the 12 weeks leading up to the show will suck in a big way

I would do 2-3 week of the BodyOpus type CKD. You should lose fat and still possibly get some growth out of it though.
One thing:

I'm at 5'8 1/2", 235lbs at 12%, which will put me onstage at around 205-210lbs.

You have to assume you'll lose 'some' muscle along the way AND some water, which windows up increasing the amt of weight you'll want to drop. Translation - don't be surprised if you wind up at 200-205 lbs.

I would stay away from ABC diet like the plague.

You'll put on weight with it...and it will all be fat. Stuffing yourself with excess calories after you've lowered your metabolism does that...

I think Dial Tone's idea is great. Try a CKD. Plus, it's a fantastic way of carbing-up so your muscles look like they're about to explode off your body.

Thanks, I wasnt actually going to follow the ABC diet. I was going to drop my calories by a 1000 or two for the two weeks, then go back to my regular bulking diet afterwards
