What's a good bench?

heavy weight builds muscle faster than the alternative. just make sure you recover before hitting the area again. you will need more rest with heavier weights.
 
I say do what you're body can handle on bench. I'm 6' with long arms and a narrow rib cage so I'm pretty proud of myself for finally reaching 315 on bench and never plan on getting much more than 475. I got a lot of respect for Plers and trained as one when I first got started but learned pretty quick that my body just wasn't designed for it so I don't get hung up on someone benching more than me (especially since I almost always deadlift more than them, darn bench monkies).
