Whats your take on weight gainers for fast metabolisms?

The only way i have found to pack on mass was to add 2-2.5 thousand cals a day to my daily food intake with weight gainer shakes. I know the maltodex in them is kind of shitty and probably adds more fat than eating whole foods would but... if cutting is as simple as just not consuming weight gain does it really matter?
 
Matters in the long run...protein powders have their place in this sport but there is such thing as too much...not to mention weight gainer shakes are expensive and only.come with like 15 fucking servings...
Grind up some oat meal into a powder and shake it up with however many grams.of a standard protein blend powder.
Cheaper in the long run and less shit in the mix

Oh and a banana wouldn't hurt to add...and peanut butter
 
Right on yea i will have to try the natural blended shakes. What do you mean by matters in the long run?

I just think it's shit for your body...it's processed crap...
And using shakes becomes a habit...natural food is the REAL way to bulk!
Your post workout shake does.t have near the impact as all the lbs of chicken and beef you need to eat!

I don't do this anymore cause as frank mentioned real food is better but you can try Protein powder, peanut butter,3 egg whites, oats, banana and blend it.

Your farts will clear out the room guaranteed.
 
I consider myself a hard gainer and I learned long ago home made weight gain shakes are far better.
I still use them today with my job.
Some ingredients I enjoy:
Protein powder
Eggs/egg white
Banana/blueberries
oatmeal/cream of wheat
Whole milk/almond milk/creamer/chcomilk
Pb/coconut oil/olive oil

The only time I've ever put on fat was with this shake...
1 cup chocolate milk
1 cup half and half
1 cup whole milk
6 whole eggs
1 cup oatmeal/cream of wheat

Don't plan on moving for awhile after this ;)
 
An hour before the gym i blend 2 scoops whey protein, 3tblsp peanut butter, 1 banana and 1/2 cup raw oats and blend the shit out of it with water.
 
Pinkbear's 1000+ cal shake

1 scoop whey protien
2 heaping scoops of crunchy peanut butter
1 banana
1 cup of oatmeal
24-32 oz of 2% milk

I think it comes out to 1000-1200 cals 50-70 pro/carbs
