I've wondered this, let's say I start at 200lbs, and can bulk naturally up to 220lbs, during this time, I'm working out everyday, at a certain point I will have to plateau when bulking, even if you eat the cals/protein/carbs, you will eventually hit a road block, I always notice that its my abdomen that gets larger, rather than the rest of my body, but how long would it take to turn that 20lbs into muscle, or should I say how long do you need to consistently stay at 220 before the mass will be absorbed evenly amongst your body?
It basically brings me to the "body building thesis", that you can only gain 1lb of muscle per week (so at that rate, I would need to train hard for 20 weeks, while keeping my weight up at 220), no matter how great your diet is, how much of an increase does testosterone provide? AAs? Is there any sources to back up the claim that AAs/Testosterone actually increases this ratio?
