Why do I lose strength on bench but nothing else?

spiderpig

I'm not a bodybuilder!
I have 2 cycles under my belt, bench, deadlift and squat strength went through the roof, After post cycle therapy (pct) on first cycle I lost at least 20lb from my bench but nothing what so ever on my back strength ie: deadlift, lat pull downs & bent over rows etc.. Same with my legs, leg press and squat stay the same and i just keep gaining! but again on my 2nd cycle which is over now finished post cycle therapy (pct) weeks ago, my bench again has dropped significantly but squats and deadlifts just keep rising!

I'm not saying strength keeps going up as if im on cycle forever, but after a cycle my strengths all balance out but do not drop, only my bench does?

I have currently been training just over 2 years

It is probably just your genetics. If there is anything that can be adjusted, training frequency, your diet ANYTHING, maybe you should adjust make the adjustment and see how that works for you.

i have noticed on myself as well as others that i have trained with that push movements are the first, and sometimes the only lifts, to suffer during post cycle therapy (pct) or a cut. i have no idea why though

I would say because bench is one of the hardiest lifts to get gains on, so your going to loss more coming off a cycle.

This. Also the water retention in triceps and arms helps A LOT with bench power. you are dryer and lighter coming off a cycle.

In my opinion, I think that having a heavier bodyweight makes the biggest difference on the bench press. Even for me naturally before I started AAS, when I went from bulking to cutting my leg strength usually stayed the same, my deadlift would usually even rise, but bench would always be the hardest to maintain. So probably once you drop all your extra water weight you lose some leverage on the bench would be my guess.
