Why/what is happening when test levels go up from winstrol?

A guy on trt has test levels at 450. Takes winstrol and test levels hit 1300.
I understand that winstrol is actually suppressive. I also understand that aas other than test can be "read" in a blood lab as test.... in this case a dht derivative , winny.
I want to know why ? And what is actually happening. Is the guy really at 1300 now or is it a tricked lab?

I tried finding the answer outside of this forum and just found other forum discussions that were all bro'd up.

Winstrol is an anabolic steroid and will shut you down and add as well to your Test level. Have you read it's profile?

Winstrol carries many positive steroidal traits, one of which is its ability to lower Sex-Hormone-Binding-Globulin (SHBG) significantly. This allows for more of the steroids being supplied to rest in an unbound state, as well as provides an increase in free testosterone. While many anabolic steroids lower SHBG Winstrol appears to have a much stronger affinity than most.

It doesn't increase Total Testosterone. Just Free Testosterone.

I couldn't think of false positive so I wrote tricked instead. I actually remember seeing a post by you saying this about deca.
So a false positive means that his test levels is not 1300 but still the same. It just shows up as 1300 because there is an anabolic that the lab just lumps in with the actual test levels.?

Yes. If that is in fact what is going on. Or his Winny is really test.

Is he using injectable or oral Winny?

I don't think I've ever heard of stanzolol doing this. DHT derivatives DO increase free testosterone/estradiol, but I don't think there's a metabolite misrepresentation going on. At least it would be news to me.

Deca and tren are the two big ones I know of that can mess with lab work, there are some designer steroids that can mess with results too, but they're pretty uncommon.

Ok this is really interesting
He was taking winny cause he figured he could sneak it passed his trt Dr.
She saw the number and was flipping out on him.
I mean 200mg of test and some winny is a basically a pointless , stupid choice but I didn't get into that with him.......

Doing some reading on dht derived steroids there is little mentioned of the metabolites being misread in a lab but it looks like it's possible

I think you're probably on to it there

Just like 'sensitive' vs regular Estradiol tests, there are many different methods of Test testing.

Something like this is called a "positive interference" to the lab test. Tough to say for sure tho without knowing the test method

.... of course it could also not be winny at all!
