wider grip on pull ups?

Im able to do 10 reps easily with pull ups with wide grip....what would be best for me? should i do weighted pull ups...or is it better to just widen the grip more?
i feel that the wider the grip is, the more hard it is..
Also...is it true that the wider the grip, the more your lats comes in play?
 
Be careful the wider your grip goes the more stress is placed on the rotator cuff. Warm up the RC before going real wide. TBH I find my lats come more into play in narrow grips and I use more rhomboids, and rear delts along with lats. If you do decide to go wider keep good form and remember to pack your shoulders in to avoid RC issues.

when i go wide i squish my shoulders together behind me before i pull the weight down.
[ pretend someone puts their finger on your spine between your shoulder blades , now try to pinch their finger with your back ]
