Womans workout program

I am just wondering if someone can help me put together a workout plan for my GF. She is looking to lose a few pounds and tone up but is a newbie in the gym and feels intimidated and overwhelmed because she is not sure of what to be doing while she is there.

I have told her but maybe I am being too forceful about it and I am wondering if any of the ladies here can give me a simple beginner workout for her?
 
We can but we need background info on her first.

Height, age, weight, workout experience, typical workout and her typical diet. Also let us know her goals.

If she is new to using equipment you or a personal trainer should show her how to use it properly.
 
If your gym offers a powerfit class (it's basically cardio with light weights) I would tell her to do that along with 30-60 minutes of cardio. The class will help her learn the excercise movements. It's a good start for a beginner and then just introduce her to free weights when she is ready.
 
She does have these videos that are aerobic with weights kinda thing. Its called the 1000calorie workout. She is 28, 5'10" and I dont know the weight and Im not asking, lol. I would guess she could lose 20-30lbs. Doesnt have very much prior workout experience and just wants to lose some fat and tone up. The diet is a work in progress but constantly improving.
 
Barbie had a great suggestion.

Just a note though....1000 calories is too little for ANY ADULT. Even most growing kids. I don't know what workout suggests to eat this but scrap it! Maybe the exercises are good but that diet advice is shit-ty!
 
It doesnt say to eat 1000 calories per day its that this workout is supposed to burn 1000 calories and they recommend it 3 times per week.
