Would being anemic contribute to tiredness?

Ive always been anemic and havent had any problems that I know of. When my family and I go to donate blood I usually will take an 18mg iron pill the day before and chew one up about an hour before we go so they will take my blood. The red cross hounds my youngest daughter and I because of our blood type. Anyway I ran across a thread about someone being tired all the time and someone suggested they may be anemic. Now I know Im anemic but have never really had this tired sluggish feeling until I started pinning. Is it possible that pinning has amplified this effect from being anemic?

Being anemic absolutely can make you tired all the time. What are you taking? Steroids like test should increase your red blood cell count, making iron levels higher.

200 mg test c e3d. So you are saying taking test should raise my iron? When I read this on anemia I went straight to the medicine cabinet and took an 18 mg tab. and will add it to my daily regiment knowing that Im anemic this should help me whether Im tired because of this or not dont you think.

Yes test should raise your iron. I would not supplement with iron on test. It will increase your red blood cell count, making the blood thicker which makes the heart have to work harder. This is why I give blood every 2months. Being on test can make you tired. Estrogen levels that are too high or too low can make you tired. Are you taking an AI? Have you got bloodwork done?

5mg a day is a low dose. The usual starting dose is 12.5mg a day. Your estro could be high. I would get bloodwork done. This way you can see where your iron levels are and your e2 level and adjust accordingly.

I will definately up my dose of aromasin. I figure I would dose low and adjust up if needed. Should I go straight to 12.5mg/ .5ml or double from .2ml to .4ml and make it 10mg. Im probably splitting hairs here. Ill have to arrange to get my bloods done again! Thx for helping bro

Just go to 12.5. Go to private MD labs and pick the female hormonal panel. You can do this as a male and it will be much cheaper this way. You can also find a coupon code online for this. Watch your hematocrit/hemoglobin and look at your e2. E2 is best in the 25-30 range.
