You guys use transdermal pregnanolone?

Anyone use TD pregnenolone with their TRT? If so, feel anything from it, positive or negative? The concept obviously being much of that is produced by the testes and TRT, with or without HCG, seems to lower those levels... Which could already use improvement in most men.

Similar question for DHEA, the other one talked about from time to time.

I never tested pregnenolone, but I can tell you that HCG does restore DHEA levels. In fact, it does so better than taking a supplement orally in my case.

I know that doesn't really answer your question, but I'd get labs first (assuming you're on HCG) before investing in a transdermal. Might save you some money as many men tend to have issues with absorption through the skin, and if HCG fits the bill - may not even be necessary.

My .02c :)

Note: I want to clarify, I have measured DHEA on TRT-only, oral supplementation of pregnenolone/DHEA, and on HCG. My results were significantly higher on HCG for an increase of DHEA.

I'm only taking T right now, this is my 9th Week, getting dialed in, and have been feeling great, with very minimal sides. Just a bit of testicular atrophy, probably about 20% smaller, which is not a big deal to me. I'm trying to weigh the risks of not doing anything to address the loss of Pregnenolone and DHEA against the complications of adding HCG to my protocol.

To me simpler is better, and if I can just take one medicine, I'd prefer that, but what am I risking long term by not having Pregnenolone and DHEA in my system?

Excellent question - not sure. I was told by a very smart man that TD preg can really help calm the system, in many ways. Whats that mean? Not sure.... but it sounds good haha!

Halfwit - I have a lot of trouble with HCG, even at the lowest possible doses. I am trying to get back on it soon. The gyno response I get is immense, so much so, that I had to have gyno removal surgery recently to pull out some wild looking tissue. Hopefully once that heals, and I am not scared of gyno again, I will try HCG. Before you say it - no, the HCG wasn't caused by a raise in estrogen.

Ahh, so you're looking for an alternative solution Jim. Gotcha.

From what I remember, pregnenolone has an impact on cognitive ability and memory. I don't honestly remember the correlation between DHEA and health benefits, but I'm sure Google can answer that one pretty quickly. :)

Anecdotally, I have seen pretty significant positive changes in my lipid profile using DHEA. Compounded caps 35mg x 1 per day. Lower total and LDL. Better ratio. I'm talking from 290s total to 239. No other changes. No statins.

Otherwise I take 140mg test, 750iu HCG per week
