I have read and heard many things about ZMA and it seems the jury's out on the necessity of the mineral supplement. I understand the chemical necessity of having balanced zinc, magnesium and b6, and I also understand the importance of getting good delta wave sleep. But isn't what I eat enough for supplementing those minerals and vitamin? I take valerian root and melatonin at bedtime and get Killer sleep anyway. Is it worth paying $30-$80 for ZMA?
