10 REASONS to ACTUALLY take gear

My advice is to stay away from writing papers on any illegal drugs. I wrote a paper on the positive psychological effects of steroids in College while working on my Psychology degree and got a D on it cause the teacher did not agree with the use of them, told me that herself and that if I would have picked a different topic I would have gotten an B. There was nothing I could do about it, but I never touched that kind of subject again. Alot of teachers/people are just not open minded enough and just believe what the media tells them so no matter how good your paper is on the subject and how well constructed it is they will base it on a personal opinion. I would never write about abortion either for the same reasons, who knows how the teacher feels about it.

its complete bullshit how much our media controls our society, and how much stuff they don't mention. for instance, they bombed and killed 8 farmers in syria and claimed them to be terrorists? yeah ok, they kept that news short cuz it made NO SENSE and people questioned it right off the bat. also, what sells a good story? the positive benefits of aas? or how someone died from them?? man i wish somebody would do something about it.

Yes you should probably pick another topic if its your choice..

Now about the reasons, some quick ones, picked from wikipedia and pubmed:

- Oxandrolone: The drug was prescribed for a number of medical disorders causing involuntary weight loss, in order to promote muscle regrowth. It had also been shown to be partially successful in treating cases of osteoporosis. It was approved for orphan drug status by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in treating alcoholic hepatitis, Turner's syndrome, and weight loss caused by HIV. In addition, the drug has shown positive results in treating anaemia and hereditary angioedema. In a randomized, double-blind study, patients with 40% total body surface area burns were selected to receive standard burn care plus Oxandrolone, or without Oxandrolone. Those treated with Oxandrolone showed improve body composition, preserved muscle mass and reduced hospital stay time

- Stanozolol: has been used on both animal and human patients for a number of conditions. In humans, it has been demonstrated to be successful in treating anaemia and hereditary angioedema. Veterinarians may prescribe the drug to improve muscle growth, red blood cell production, increase bone density and stimulate the appetite of debilitated or weakened animals.

- Nandrolone: Clinical studies have shown it to be effective in treating anaemia, osteoporosis and some forms of neoplasia including breast cancer, and also acts as a progestin-based contraceptive.

- And the god of all, testosterone: , testosterone or other anabolic steroids has also been given for many other conditions and purposes besides replacement, with variable success but higher rates of side effects or problems. Examples include infertility, lack of libido or erectile dysfunction, osteoporosis, penile enlargement, height growth, bone marrow stimulation and reversal of anemia, and even appetite stimulation. By the late 1940s testosterone was being touted as an anti-aging wonder drug (e.g., see Paul de Kruif's The Male Hormone). Decline of testosterone production with age has led to a demand for Androgen Replacement Therapy.

To take advantage of its virilizing effects, testosterone is often administered to transmen as part of the hormone replacement therapy, with a "target level" of the normal male testosterone level. Like-wise, transwomen are sometimes prescribed anti-androgens to decrease the level of testosterone in the body and allow for the effects of estrogen to develop.

Testosterone patches are effective at treating low libido in post-menopausal women. Low libido may also occur as a symptom or outcome of hormonal contraceptive use. Women may also use testosterone therapies to treat or prevent loss of bone density, muscle mass and to treat certain kinds of depression and low energy state. Women on testosterone therapies may experience an increase in weight without an increase in body fat due to changes in bone and muscle density. Most undesired effects of testosterone therapy in women may be controlled by hair-reduction strategies, acne prevention, etc. There is a theoretical risk that testosterone therapy may increase the risk of breast or gynaecological cancers, and further research is needed to allay these fears.

There is a myth that exogenous testosterone can more or less definitively be used for male birth control. However, the vast majority of physicians will agree that to prescribe exogenous testosterone for this purpose is inappropriate. But, perhaps more important, many men found this, in first-hand experience, to be untrue or at least, unreliable.

Some drugs specifically target testosterone as a way of treating certain conditions. For example, finasteride inhibits the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a metabolite which is more potent than testosterone. By lowering the levels of dihydrotestosterone, finasteride may be used for various conditions associated with androgens, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and androgenetic alopecia (male-pattern baldness). That said there are many men who have complained of long lasting or permanent adverse effects resulting from the use of finasteride and Dr Eugene Shippen has spoken for many years of finasteride causing a difficult to treat form of hypogonadism in some men.).

If you want to get an A on the project. Write about 10 reasons not to take AAS. Give them want they want to hear. If its anything I've learned in school, it was to tell them what they wanted to hear.

10 reason to not make thread as this... Harrrrrrrr my f*** head! ho hell!!!

You mention how much the media controls our society, I don't know if you have ever seen the documentary 'Bigger Stronger Faster' but it is about how screwed up legislation is in America regarding steroids and how little anyone in the mainstream even knows about them. Its a top view and to be honest, it will make anyone who is on the gear feel good about it..
The only downside to the video is that is shows what a contradiction Arnie is now days, its kind of uneasy to see your hero bury what he use to believe in just to score votes in the elections.. Def worth the download or purchase Bigger, Stronger, Faster* - Available on DVD Now
