I went to the doc to test my hormones because i have been very irritable, tired, slow recovery from gym, sore achey. I am 6'1 182lbs 13%bf. He ran blood tests and my Total testosterone came in at 10.4mnol/L, LH came in at 4.6. He said oh this is fine it is what your body naturally produces and is right for you. So i left not knowing what is classified as low T. Did some research and it turns out my test levels are those of an 80yr old man. I dont have any facial hair nor arm pit hair. I have pubes but it grows very slow. I am not sure what to do at this point. I am meeting with a local Endocrinologist this week and will step forward from there. The whole testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) scares the hell out of me but i cant keep going through life in a haze. I need some advice im very freaked out atm. Thanks!

You need to find out what is causing your Low T.. Hopefully your endo knows how to do the right tests and treatments.. By your stats it looks like your holding a decent amount of lean body mass.. Pro hormones? AAS abuse? Be honest w/ your Doc so he can get you squared away.. Good Luck

i have no experience with AAS/PH's i have been doing research on them for the future but have not used. If he is un willing to treat me because of my age is there anything else i can do or am i just stuck with it? Also should i be freezing sperm for the future?

I don't think anyone is going put you on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) at 18, if that's what you mean by refusing to treat you.. I think he has to treat you because you have a diagnosis.. I would recommend that you exhaust every other option availabe.
There is another guy on this board doing a 'clomid challenge' and he is repoting that he feels alot better.. Google it

hey bro,

i went through testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in my mid-20s. Read my first cycle log. You may get a few ideas there. I don't recall the exact details. But i went through the following in over a year.

First Androgel 1 pack then 2 daily for a few months

Then Test Troches

Then Andriol 160mg daily

P.S. Undescended testicles can also cause a lifetime issue of low test. This is pretty common among men, according to the urologist that prescribed Andriol. The first two were prescribed by a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) specialist/family doctor.

I dont think my family doc is going to give me a referal to this endo.. considering he was the one who told me my test levels are normal. What do i say to him?

Don't ask him. Find an endo that you believe will help you by researching. Might see if they take your insurance.

Then call or go to his office and tell them you want a referral to "blank" endo. I say call in because my doctor doesn't mind that and then you save a visit fee.

I took the clomid test and my nuts did get bigger and I got the blood work done. Now they are shrinking back down and aching a little (i have a vericocele) and I am waiting on the lab results but it seems low again if it even went up.

Do check your thyroid like was said above. If no other reason to see the endo, tell him you want to see him about your thyroid and then talk to him about your test too. Don't take no for an action.

I was like you and am only getting help now (31) after wasting many years with 152 lbm on a 267 pound body.

No you are not stuck with it. At low levels like yours, you are not living you just exist. I would submit your blood work and get with Chip. See what he has to suggest. He will get your hormones on the right track if he is able to and you would spend much less money than going to an endo or your doc. I would think he would be able to help you because I am 23 and he certainly was able to help me. You are younger but your levels are not acceptable.

I have to get a referal to see the endo that i found, i did some research and he seems to be the best in the area. im nervous/excited to figure out what is wrong with my body and hopefully dont have to go on TRT. Does a restart protocol actually work? has anyone had success with it?
