23 year old, low testosterone, Klinefelter's Syndrome.

I Break Spawns

New member
Hello, all, I'm 23 years old. I was diagnosed with KlineFelter's syndrome, which basically means I have an XXY Chromosome, instead of the normal male, XY chromosome. Primary effects of KlineFelter's is hypogonadism, and infertility; Sucks this wasn't caught sooner. My testosterone was checked when I was 16, because I was suffering from chronic fatigue, and my testosterone was low, but couldn't treat me because I was under 18. So, I decided to go to an endocrinologist. The Doctor did a MRI on pituitary gland, and all was well. My bloodtests came back. Total testosterone was at 215, and 150; On different tests.

Little about me. I'm six foot three, and weigh 181 lbs. I'm not very muscular, more like a skinny fat. I have some facial hair, and have to shave about three to four times a month. I do have a deep voice. I have no libido, and it's very rare for me to get an erection, it really sucks. I feel depressed all the time, and I absolutely hate it, and my motivation is not very good.

So, endo put me on testosterone cypionate bi-weekly 200 MG. I have been on the injections for two weeks and three days. The first seven days of the injection were hell. The symptoms I experienced was water retention, lethargic, aches & pains, headaches, and very cold. These symptoms subsided after seven days. Now, I just had my injection again on Friday and the same symptoms are re-appearing. Should I call my doctor? Or wait until the next bloodtest(Sep. 16th) and just tough out these symptoms?

Thanks. By the way, nice site here!

What is klinefelter syndrome?

Klinefelter syndrome, also known as the XXY condition, is a term used to describe males who have an extra X chromosome in most of their cells. Instead of having the usual XY chromosome pattern that most males have, these men have an XXY pattern. Klinefelter syndrome is named after Dr. Henry Klinefelter, who first described a group of symptoms found in some men with the extra X chromosome. Even though all men with Klinefelter syndrome have the extra X chromosome, not every XXY male has all of those symptoms.

Because not every male with an XXY pattern has all the symptoms of Klinefelter syndrome, it is common to use the term XXY male to describe these men, or XXY condition to describe the symptoms.

Scientists believe the XXY condition is one of the most common chromosome abnormalities in humans. About one of every 500 males has an extra X chromosome, but many don't have any symptoms.

What are the symptoms of the XXY condition?

Not all males with the condition have the same symptoms or to the same degree. Symptoms depend on how many XXY cells a man has, how much testosterone is in his body, and his age when the condition is diagnosed. The XXY condition can affect three main areas of development 1) physical, 2) language, and 3) social.

Physical development

As babies, many XXY males have weak muscles and reduced strength. They may sit up, crawl, and walk later than other infants. After about age four, XXY males tend to be taller and may have less muscle control and coordination than other boys their age.

As XXY males enter puberty, they often don't make as much testosterone as other boys. This can lead to a taller, less muscular body, less facial and body hair, and broader hips than other boys. As teens, XXY males may have larger breasts, weaker bones, and a lower energy level than other boys.

By adulthood, XXY males look similar to males without the condition, although they are often taller. They are also more likely than other men to have certain health problems, such as autoimmune disorders, breast cancer, vein diseases, osteoporosis, and tooth decay.

XXY males can have normal sex lives, but they usually make little or no sperm. Between 95 percent and 99 percent of XXY males are infertile because their bodies don't make a lot of sperm.

MY SUGGESTION WOULD BE TO ASK YOUR DOC ABOUT DROPPING THE TEST TO 100-150MGS ONCE EVERY 5TH DAY AND INCORPORATING Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) AT A LOW DOSE AND A LOW DOSE Aromatase inhibitor (AI), IS SYMPTOMS SHOW THAT IT IS NEEDED. INJECTIONS SPREAD OUT EVERY TWO WEEKS WILL DO NOTHING BUT WORSEN YOUR CONDITION AND DEPRESSION IS ONE OF THEM. TRUTHFULLY, GIVEN YOUR CURRENT STATE AND DIAGNOSIS, I BELIEVE THAT OUR DOCS WOULD HELP YOU GET ON THE RIGHT TRACK AND THE ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. JUST AN OPTION. GOOD LUCK.

Chip is right bro. Getting doctors to understand effective TRT treatment is a very hard, long, strenuous process. I know because I spun my wheels with 4 doctors before I found Maximus TRT. Chip will get you dialed in and feeling better in no time. Again, this doesn't always happen overnight but it is nice knowing that you have a team working with you instead of an MD that loves putting you on a hormonal roller coaster. Good luck!!

I pretty much have all those symptoms, instead of the broad hips. I do have broad shoulder, though. I'm very coordinated, but not strong at all, I played basketball & baseball growing up; I can only bench 75 or something pounds. I know, embarrassing. You wouldn't know that I was an XXY male by looking at me, though.

Thanks for the response. My doctor did say that he might have to change the frequency of injections to seven days, or whatever day they did drop off(According to bloodtests) I called my endo, but he's not in, and the receptionist said he will call me back in the morning. My number one thing is to take care of these estrogen levels. But, I guess things get worse before they get better.

Chip, if things don't work out with my doctor what are your guideline for accepting patients? Got a website?

Just click on the banner, pal. Requirements for treatment are relatively simple.....

Do you need medical attention? In your case, the answer is yes. Tell your doc every 5 days on the injections, not 7.

This is a MUST of all most EVERYONE, the roller coaster effect you are on, taking a shot every 2 weeks, is only going to make you feel worse, so to speak. 5 day intervals keep your levels steady...

Cypionate has a half life between 5-8 days....which basically means on the low end, if you are taking a shot every 14 days, you go from having 200mg of cypionate in your body to only have 50mg'ish, in some people its not a huge difference in others, its night and day, everyones body responds differently.

If he says no, it sounds like Chip could be your new best friend! He's been doing this a while, and the forums dont lie....READ HIS REVIEWS

Gotcha, I will talk to him tomorrow.

Will this be any problem as I am 23.

1.) I understand that Maximus HRT only treats patients 30 years old or older with documented symptoms of hormone deficiencies (Hypogonadism and Adult Growth Hormone Deficiency). No treatment or prescriptions will be provided unless a demonstrated clinical need exists based on a current health history, physical examination, and required lab work, either through the patient***146;s personal physician or a Maximus HRT-affiliated physician. Submitting a health history, physical exam and lab results to Maximus HRT does not automatically qualify a patient for HRT prescriptions

Yep, if this doctor doesn't say what I would like to hear I'll definitely hit up chip.

So, I'm just venting. But, I called my doctor to tell him of my symptoms...finally got a response. He told me to go to the ER because I may have a blood clot. I went to the hospital..What do you know, it's water retention.

So, I called the endo afterwards and asked if he did anything for estrogen, the nurse said "no"...They said to wait a couple more days to see if the swelling goes down...I was like "WTF" it will go down!!!!! because my levels will drop, duh. Sorry, just venting, and looks like I need a new doctor. I'd like for Chip to treat me but think he only treats 30 & up year old males.

Chip treats patients under 30, HIT HIM UP!!!

Spawns, Chip does treat patients under 30. I am exactly your age. He took care of me and will take care of you too

Thanks, sir, I just filled out the medical questionnaire. Right now I'm unemployed, but in the process of getting a job..but, I feel like it's a uphill battle to find a doctor that treats correctly. It'd be way better just to go to somebody that knows their shit, AKA Chip.

How do you feel, JKB?

I feel great. Went from not getting an erection and being bed ridden to annihilating vagina in the bedroom for 3 hours yesterday after a 2 hour gym workout.

You are right it would be better just going straight to chip. His prices are not bad at all and you will save your money and time which is more important going straight to him. Before going to Chip, I wasted a ton of money going to a few different docs and i didnt feel any of them knew about TRT or were willing to give the right meds for TRT.

I have been on Chips protocol for a week now. It normally takes 4 to 8 weeks I think before you are fully "dialed in". But a week into it my mood and energy level is definately elevated. Since last thursday, I am actually getting up in the morning at 6:00am going to the gym and still have energy to go to work like a normal human being. And to think just two weeks ago, I would wake up mid morning around 10 or 11am and barely have energy to even take a proper shower and brush my teeth.

I dont feel 100% yet and I dont expect to but I do feel heck of alot better than I was 2 weeks ago. I have also cut my coffee to only one cup a day instead of the 4 I was drinking before starting with Chip.

Just out of curiosity what made you decide to test for klinefelters? I mean there is a pretty specific test for that as I'm sure you are aware of. Most people don't even know they ever have it, until they are a bit older and something like trying to have a baby is not working for them and they need to see a fertility doc to exam possible causes. As most of the time, if you have klinefelters you are also infertile...unfortunately. And if you did know that, then I hope I didn't just give you some really really really bad news.

Yes, sir. I already knew that. My endocrinologists decided to try and figure out what caused my low testosterone. So, they did a karaotype test. I mean, I can always adopt. lol....My best friend said "If you need a sperm donor, I'm your man" I know it sucks, but whatever.

Klinefelter syndrome, 46/47, XXY, or XXY syndrome is a condition in which human males have an extra X chromosome. While females have an XX chromosomal makeup, and males an XY, affected individuals have at least two X chromosomes and at least one Y chromosome. Because of the extra chromosome, individuals with the condition are usually referred to as "XXY Males", or "47, XXY Males". Many students have written essays on klinefelter's syndrome.
