2nd Opinion???....help!

Ok guys.....I wen to the Dr. and she said I have LOW T!.....started me on Testim......it didn't do anything....when back for more blood work...blood work lower than before...Free 3 and total 100....so she put me on 1ML of Cyp once a week.

As I learn more about this It seem i do not fall into the conditions:

njury to the testicles
Testicular cancer or treatment for testicular cancer
Hormonal disorders
Infection
HIV/AIDS
Chronic liver or kidney disease
Type 2 diabetes


Welll ok.....

I do have one Kidney (born with just one)

I have read, only in one place, that obesity can could it??....I have been overweight most of my life....220 5'7...not morbid but carrying more than I should.....


could that be it???


so should I get a second opinion?......to find out what is causing it?????......or just deal with it?


before I start giving myself a shot for the rest of my life.....seems like I should take a look to see what the issue is???

My experiences with doctors has been horrible. I think the first thing you need to do is figure out if you are primary or secondary. What is your LH and FSH? Are your testicles soft or firm.

Do a search on here or on the internet for hypogonadism. There are two kinds: primary and secondary. That is the first step in figuring out what is likely causing your low T. The first test to determine which one you have is seeing where your LH and FSH are. Surely your doctor tested them before putting you on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Get a copy of your labs. Or get a new doctor if this wasn't done before starting TRT.

Free and Total let you know where you're levels are at and are used to identify if you have a Low T problem. But they don't get at why you have low T.

They ONLY thing I see off the Mao Clinic site of "Things that might cause Hypongondism" is that I did have surgery on a gronia hernia as a small child?.......maybe that might be it?

Think I may have to change DR. I have Low T (Total 80...Free 3)......she never did another test.....put me on Cyp shots!....3 weeks in......
