3day split vs 5 day?

have a question? i was talking to a couple guys at the gym today about there splits and what not. and these guys were huge. and lean. deff had a few cycles under there belt.. all of them work out 6 days a week?
how come ,most ppl say that u should work out eod so that your body will recover? or else it wont grow? has anyone here went from a 5-6 dayu split to a 3 day .. and saw better results???
 
Now this is complete speculation, and i guess i'm just asking for someone to correct me. But after thinkin' about it a second, it would seem to me that it could have more to do with them having so much experience and gym time already, that maybe their bodie's are capable of recovering that fast, whereas other's may not be able to.
 
their bodies work well with those splits...but that doesn't mean you should follow....

whenver you see splits..analyze and experiment..now I'm not talking about a week or a month of try out..but perhaps 3-6 months...then see what happens..assuming your diet is already in check and tight..
 
Genetics and drugs are why those guys are that big. They'd probly be the same size on a 3 or 5 day split, however the drugs and genetics allow their bodies to recover much quicker. IMO the 3day split works best, just make sure your workouts revolve around dead, squat bench... and keep increasing the weight.

second that...i thought of that before reading B. Reel's reply. so yeah...what he says.
 
From my experience of trying the 3day and 5day. I lost poundage after 2 weeks on the 3day tried it for a month, so I abondonded it. I get a lot better results from the 5day, I need the constant stimulation.
