I don't personally think it's worth it if you're on a drastic cut if you're not running catabolic ancillaries on top of the caloric deficit. The problem I personally have when I do that, is that if I'm running doses close to what I enjoy bulking with - I'm going to want to...bulk.
The one advantage I can think of is that the small extra edge you might gain in strength will help keep lifts somewhat consistent, which helps when it starts messing with your head. I know I get moody when I start depleting glycogen and my weights start coming down.
At least that's my take on it. Yeah, clear as mud haha.
